Hi everyone,:wave2:

Now i realise that this has probably been asked loads and loads of times but i really could do with some advice from those who have been before

It will be myself, my 19 year old Daughter and my 14yr old Daughter who are going. We have the Dining Plan so that takes care of most of the food and all our tickets etc are paid for.
How much should i roughly allow for each day?? we are there 2 weeks.

How longs a piece of string? :rotfl:

Every family is different. I am just going thru credit card statement from 9 nights at Xmas. If I knock off food and tickets There is
$63 for Walgreens(Coke, sweets, crisps, & bottle of vodka)
$25 for Petrol
$157 for Xmas tree decs, gifts for baby in family, Pin, Tshirts & hat.
$43 Converse Trainers(Mother in law)

That was for 3 of us and Mother-in-law, about $300 total.

You will have tips to pay for, Any alcohol & starters with meals.

I don't use cash fro anything now, too much hassle, every cent goes on fee free credit card.

I would imagine that with 2 teenage daughters you will be visiting the shoppiing Malls,we are just back, we bought a lot of meals and food for the house, paid a bar bill on a 4 day cruise, did lots of shopping and spent alot on beer and wine, our total bill is about £2000, we are all different though, i guess you wont be drinking too much with 2 teenage daughters.
As Wayne says....and he knows.... a fee free credit carsd is a good option. We use Nationwide.I made the mistake of using it to draw out $300 in cash on 2 occasions and was charged £5.10 each time

I would say, take as much as you can afford!

I'm planning on taking (for myself and two young children, for 14 nights) just over £1500, so around $2250. That is to cover food (which will be mainly onsite/character meals, so quite pricey), and gifts, shopping etc. Tickets will be paid for.

I don't think we'll need anywhere near that amount, but I least I know it's there if I want it, and should hopefully come back with quite a bit of change. If that happens, I'll be using it to book the next trip! lol

We tend to work the other way. We work out how much spending money we have available and budget to whatever that works out to be in dollars when we go.

As a guide, we are taking £2000 worth of dollars (at whatever rate we get) in May for me and Tam and two daughters 18 and 15. Of course we do not have the dining plan and this takes up a large amount of our budget.

I guess I would aim for approx £1000 pounds in your circumstances to cover drinks, shopping and other expenses. Obviously you could take a lot more or a lot less dependent upon your personnal requirements.

As Wayne and Kev said it really depends on how much or little you want to spend. Where you eat plays the biggest part but you have that covered.

The good thing for us about having a fixed budget is that it is easy for us to work out how much we have overspent :rotfl2:
