Spending Money in DL

If someone is going for a week to disneyland and universal studios, what is a good amount of money to bring for just "Happy Spending" for one person to spend on themselves (not including food, transportation and such). Like im talking souvenirs such as t-shirts, hats, key chains, and pictures of a family on Splash Mountain Etc.

This question will help a debate im having with somone. Im suggesting $300 and the other person says more.

I suppose it depends on what kinds of souveniers, etc that person is into... a few keychains, magnets and a coffee cup wont add up to $300, but if you wanted a sweatshirt from each place and some other stuff, $300 might be cutting it close in my opinion... not sure.

It really depends on your spending habits. My family would not need anywhere near $300 each. But, I know other people that would and could blow thru that amount in a day.

I would agree with 300. As long as the person doesn't make any huge purchases like a nice jacket or a piece of art.
300 could get a person a couple tshirts, keychains, maybe a collectible, etc.
I wish I had 300 dollars to spend at Disneyland!!!

$300 per person would be about right for us. It does depend on what you like to buy. We do a lot of the snowglobes, and other collectables that cost a bit more. The sweatshirts and even tee shirts can add up too. My DS can eat up $300 pretty quick in toys also. LOL But yeah I'd say that's a good estimate.

Thanks everyone, I figured $300 would be a good estimate... I just think the best souviners that you can bring home are pictures and video from the trip. Thats more memorable then a key chain or a Tshirt.

Very true! I treasure my pictures and videos more then anything I could buy there. Unfortunately for me that also means spending money on the professional pics they take with the characters and in front of the castle. I have to have that too every year! Much to my DH's dismay!

LOL Thats alright, Its ok to do that, cause you never know when you will go back to DL again. Might as well get the best pics you can possibly get.

when we go to DL, we don't even buy stuff. Of course, we have AP's and are there all the time. But $300 would buy an awful lot, IMO.
