::MinnieMo:firefight:tinker::earsboy:We are going to Disney in less than 60 days, so we are taking advantage of the Free Dining Plan.....however, I'm wondering what is a "good guess" on how much spending money I should plan for daily for our family of four, two children 6 & 9??????? I'm not going to spend much on souveniors.....just some of the traditional ones; mickey ears, mickey balloon (once).....etc.?????

Also since all of the Pop Century Fridge Swaps are full for our attending dates......is getting a fridge in the room a necessity???? I've seen how some post putting ice in the sink....

Lastly, should I consider taking an umbrella stroller with us??? I don't want the huge expense of renting one for the duration of our trip......but I don't want cranky, tired, sore feet children either......However if I only have one stroller, I'm thinking the kids will fret over it....

Your thoughts please!
Thank You!!!!!

Congrats on your upcoming Disney trip! I would definately get the kids Disney Dollars or a Disney Card for souveniers. Either that or allow and only take a certain amount of cash with you each day. They WILL see everything and anything that they want to buy right away and this way when their spending cash is gone it's gone.

As far as the fridge, I wouldnt fret since you do not have infants or toddlers to store milk, etc for. I would just bring some juice boxes and leave them in the room. They would be fine there or do the ice and cooler thing. Granted I had a 15 month old last trip, but I just filled a small cooler each day with ice in a doubled disney bag (we also had a small fridge at AKL) and put it in the small cooler I took to the parks with his milk. It lasted a few hours and it worked out fine. With older kids I dont think I would worry about the fridge because you can just go get drinks at the resort and you are not really going to keep left overs, etc for a long period of time.

Now the stroller....that's another story. We took one this past trip instead of carting two along (we own two single Maclarens) with just the two of us that trip and my older DD was complaining most of the time about having to walk. DS didnt want to be in the stroller the whole time, but at night they BOTH got so tired and we had to carry DD from the bus to the resort EACH night. I know it is a pain to bring two umbrella strollers, but if you can I say DO. They have the Kolcrafts for purchase if you choose so later, but they are a bit pricey. Have a great trip and enjoy your family time together in Disney:goodvibes:goodvibes!

Thank you SOOOOO much for your reply.......great info and suggestions!
I was considering finding/taking two umbrella strollers (just in case).....
I think I will do that now indeed.

Awesome suggestion on the Disney Dollars for the kids!!!!

I'm thinking I'll pass on the fridge renting......at over $100 since we'll be there 11 days!!

Thanks again! It's our 1st trip........I just KNOW it'll be MAGICAL!!!!:wizard:
