Spending Day at MCO after cruise (late flight)

I'm considering options for after cruise to fill the day before evening flight on SW from MCO. I'm not interested in renting a car. does the MCO Hyatt still offer day rates? Has anyone done this to fill the day? Do you need to reserve this in advance or are these more last minute and only available based on occupancy?

Definitely taken advantage of a day rate at the Hyatt and we really had a great day. We called to book. The rates were reasonable (about 100$ less than the night rate). We ate at their restaurants, napped in the afternoon, went swimming in the pool... Then we simply picked up our carry-ons, passports and boarding passes and we were at the gate 15-20 minutes later.

It will show the checkout as the next day (it's just the way the site works) but you can have the room from 9AM until 6PM. I got this info from the MCO assistant front office manager.

It’s definitely worth the cost for a day use room.

MCO is a busy place, and it’s nice to just chill.

Plus you won’t spend $300 on Disney junk.

Other things you can do are catch a movie at Disney Springs or shop/eat at City Walk. Or, spend a couple hours at a B-attraction like Gatorland. It’s cheap and quite entertaining.

I tried to go through that link for the day pass and it won't complete because it wants a start day and an end day and won't take the same day for both even though the day rate code is there

If you read the post it says that the web site will show the checkout as the next day, that's just the way the web site works. The full response I got from the Hyatt was:

You may book online at https://www.hyatt.com/en-US/hotel/f...-international-airport/orlan?offercode=dayuse. You will be directed to the hotel main website, click on Book Now and select your day of arrival. Please note, your confirmation will reflect a 1-night stay and a check in of 4PM but you will be booking for a Day Stay with a check in of 9AM and check out of 6PM. You may contact the hotel directly at 407-825-1234 if you have further questions.

Thanks for the link...very helpful information. Just tried to see what the rate was and the day I was looking at (Dec 2021) was only $139, very reasoanble

You select the check in date for the day you want and checkout for the next day. As long as you use the link that has the offercode=dayrate you’ll be fine.

We ended up using ResortPass and got the day rate of $109....about $50 less than through the Hyatt.
We need 2 rooms, so a great help
