Spending a day at Universal

Hi All!
I'm looking into the possibility of heading over to Universal for half a day while on my Disney trip. The ONLY reason I would do this would be to visit the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. We wouldn't be doing any of the rest of the parks, only that section. Can anyone recommend any cheap ticket options for this type of touring? I'm looking to see if I can afford this.

Nope. You need a 2 park, park to park pass to do this, as the Hogwarts Express (train) goes between both parks. Universal was tricky/smart when they did that. So no cheap option to do just HP stuff

The best price I've ever found was with Undercover Tourist and as other poster said you need park to park tickets if you want to ride the Hogwarts express (and you DO want to ride this if you are a HP fan). If you do decide to go, check out the sticky on the top of this board titled Wizarding World Touring Plans and Details that has a list of everything there is to do in the wizarding world.

Honestly we are huge Harry Potter fans and can spend so much time just in those sections but if you’re going to be paying for a full day ticket anyway the rest of both parks are really awesome too so you should plan on more than a half day

We did 2 US days last trip and it was great. WWoHP is amazing, the rest of the parks are ok, but all the rides seem to be screen/simulator rides, which make me sick. It was very expensive though, like the same price as Disney, so no cheap way to do it.

Give up a day a Disney and do your visit right. half a day isn’t enough at all. The rest of Universal is quite good and it’d be a shame to skip it!
