Spectromagic reserved seating?

I've noticed mentioned to reserved seating for Spectromagic..Is this with one of the plans? (We have reserved the Silver Plan.) I was just wondering how you obtain these seats. Thanks!

I've never heard of any reserved seating for Spectromagic. There is reserved seating for Fantasmic if you purchase a Fantasmic dinner package. And I believe there are some dinner packages you can purchase for reserved seating for Illuminations. But I've never heard of anything for Spectromagic.

I've heard of special seating for Fantasy in the Sky, I believe it's the tables near the Plaza Restaurant. Not sure if it's still available or to whom.

For both the "Share a Dream Come True" and "Spectromagic" parades, the Magic Kingdom closes down the bridge between Main Street and Frontierland to pedestrians because that is on the parade route.

There are about 4-5 park benches near the bridge that are reserved as "VIP seating". I don't think that you can reserve this as part of any package, it is mostly for special Disney Guests. The one time my family got to sit there was when we had an incident on Main Street with some teenagers from a BTG. A park supervisor witnessed the altercation and offered to let us watch the parade from the VIP area as compensation.

This was a great way to watch the parade as we did not have to save our spots 1-2 hours ahead. We were told to show up 15 minutes before the parade and we had front row seats. There was great interaction with the Cast as well since ther was only a dozen of us in that area.

Silver Plan only offers access to Preferred Viewing locations for:

Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade at AK
Fantasy in the Sky Fireworks at MK
IllumiNations at Epcot.

No mention of Spectromagic.

We just had the Silver plan the last week of May. About 3 or 4 weeks before our arrival date we received notification of special reserved viewing for FIT, Illuminations, and the AK parade with a phone number to call to schedule the actual date for viewing.

AK viewing is on the Harabe bridge, Illuminations is on the dock ramp near the Moroco pavilion in WS, and FIT is on the landing below the Plaza Restaurant. The FIT area is the only one with seating. It is also a designated smoking area but during FIT viewing no smoking is allowed.

Is the reserved seating really that great? Or would we be better off trying to find our own spot?

The VIP standing (no seating) for Illuminations wasn't that great. It is on the boat ramp at Morocco and the awning was blocking my view.

If you don't go too low on the ramp to the dock the view is pretty good [but not great].

The AK parade and MK fireworks however have great views. I even had the feeling of being in the parade at AK.
