Spectromagic or Fantasmic?

If you could only see one of these on your trip which would you choose and why?

We will have 3 adults and 2 kids (ages 5 and 10). All but 1 adult has seen Spectromagic and that 1 adult is the only one of us ever to see Fantasmic.

If I could only see 1, then it would be Fantasmic. I think Fantasmic is an excellent show. I really enjoy Spectro too, but I don't think there's any real comparison.

Oh yes, also forgot to add this question. Is the Fantasmic at WDW the same as the one at DL? My friend that has seen Fantasmic has only seen it at DL.

just saw both of them this week and liked them both..but if i had to pick one, it would be fantasmic!

They are both very entertaining, but I would never miss a chance to see Spectro! It brings me to tears everytime I see it! The music is so catchy and it makes me feel like I am right in the middle of the magic!

FANTASMIC!! If I could only see one of the two it would be Fantasmic!

I have also seen the one in DL. And unlike the one in DL, you get to sit on a bench not on the ground. The one at WDW/MGM does not have Peter Pan or Pinocchio, like the one in DL.

So even though both shows have the same name, they are two different shows to see. GO SEE FANTASMIC!!!

Make sure that you sit in the Mickey section.

Fantasmic hands down. We saw this three nights out of five that we were there last time. We never get tored of it and it is so different than anyhting else. WE have 22 days left til we get to go again!!! That is the first place we want to go to so we can see it again!

Going against the majority here! Specto for me. Fantasmic is a little too loud and a bit scary for little kids.

Fantasmic is just awesome - it is loud, but is a great show.

It consists of Mickey, a Dragon, lots of fireworks and characters. It is just awesome. While I like Spectro, Fantasmic is not a parade with lights on it - it is basically a show with lots to enjoy.

Especially since you have kids! I loved it as much as my kids! All the Disney classics are included! The characters on the floats are amazing as well.

Fantasmic because I think the music and effects are awesome. I also like the fact that you have a seat for the show.

I'm shocked! So many people for Fantasmic. I actually got bored during it. Yeah, it was cool and all (I have a very short attention span), but Spectromagic is the coolest thing at Disney besides Wishes. I took pics of every float last time.

Fantasmic wins hands down. Personally I can't stand Spectro (bring back MSEP!!!). Fantasmic has AMAZING effects. I can't even begin to describe how amazing this show is. In all honesty it's the only reason I can see to go to MGM. None of us could say anything at the end except "holy cow'', and "whoa". For our crew to be that speechless...well, it was amazing.

Fantasmic is a show at MGM and Spectro is a parade at MK

Normally we would recommend Fantasmic, but in this case we recommend Spectro because Wishes is 15 minutes after Spectro and it is great. Also the one person has seen Fantasmic at DL so Wishes is what you really want to see also.

Fantasmic! We try to see it 2-3 times when we're there...and I'm not sure if anyone answered this for you, but it is at MGM while Spectro is MK. We missed Fantasmic the first year we went and after friends saw it and we found out what we missed, we have made sure every year to plan around it.
