SPECTRO question for Feb 05

Does anyone have a quess what day(s) they will have the Spectro parade in Feb of 2005? We arrive Sat 2/05 in mid-afternoon and leave the following Sat 2/12 morning. Last year there was a parade on Tuesday evenings, so I am hoping for the same this year, otherwise ONCE AGAIN we will miss this event.

I am in the exact situation as you, and too hope for the Tue parade. Probably another month before Feb. hours.

Frustrating - how are we supposed to plan park visits/priority seating unless we know the park schedule at least 90 days in advance? Ah, relax, breathe...

I don't want to rush the other couple that is meeting us there (it is their 1st WDW visit). Their plane arrives at 2:30 - but don't think they will arrive/check-in and be ready to go much before 5-5:30, which cuts a trip to MK pretty short.

We've decided to pick 1 meal spot a day (either lunch or dinner) for a PS and play the rest as it goes. This should be a slower time of year and we are all in our late 50's - so we are going to try to 'see' more than we 'ride' on this trip - let our tummies tell us when & what to eat instead of trying to stick to a schedule.

But, BOY I wish I knew about the parade (mumble, grumble and a few 'Popeye' words #%^@*).

Thanks for any help/support.

I'll be there right along with you...arriving on the 6th and leaving on the 13th. I'm betting that there will be Spectros on Saturday and Tuesday.

Hey, Tracey, DH & I will be at the VWL on the 1st-3rd and then at the Fairfield Bonnett Creek Resort (right across from Epcot) for the rest of our trip. Wave if you see us?!?!?!

I can't imagine they would NOT do a week night Spectro, but then I never thought they would cancel the Tapestry of Nations parade at Epcot (my personal favorite event). }:~(

I'll be looking for you -- be sure to wear something lime green! I'll have lime green ribbons on DD's stroller. ::yes::

The January hours are out, and during the last couple of weeks in January, Spectro is on Modays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

I don't know if that will hold for the first week if February, but Spectro is scheduled for Monday, 1/31, so I would hope to see it the scheduled following Thursday and Saturday also. I'll be there that first week also.

Hmmm...Monday and Thursday...kind of unusual isn't it?

True, but last January had Spectro on Tuesday and Saturday.

All this analyzing and speculating is giving me a headache, LOL, but PS time will soon be upon us!

November has Monday, Thursday, Saturday Spectros...so does January. I'm betting it will hold for February. I'm off to change my itinerary now...

We will be at WDW 02/10-02/12 after a trip on the Wonder and I am hoping that the Thursday plan it correct. Since our plane leaves at 7:00PM on Saturday, we will miss it if they do it on Saturday. The light parades are my absolute favorite and I am so excited to see it. Keeping fingers and toes crossed.

Unfortunately, WDW doesn't always follow suit with last year's schedules. Variances in predicted attendance, attraction closures/rehabs, budget cuts, economic turns/downturns, etc. seem to dictate their thinking.

If, indeed, they DO offer SPECTRO 3 night in the first 2 weeks of February I will be one very happy camper! We cannot make either Saturday and, as it happens, I have reserved and PAID for Cirque tickets for our Thursday night - so that leaves MONDAY (or Tuesday if they stay with last year's schedule) as our only option.

Since I can't imagine the last week or two of January being any more desirable than the first two weeks of February, let's hope they repeat that January decision! :worship: :wizard:

That's pretty much what I was thinking, LOL. (No offense to January visitors, of course. ;) ) :teeth:

I just started a new thread on this also but didn't know there was one already. I'm confused as the rest of you are. Were going Feb 6-10 and am ready to make a PS soon and can't figure this out. Last Jan. we went and spectro was on Tues/Sat. So this year I was planning on going to MK on the Tues/Wed. But if Spectro isn't on that day then we will miss it. So do I make my PS for the Monday or the Tuesday looking at the Jan. hours.

I make my PS verrrrrry sooooon!!!!!!
Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Where are you making PS for Disneyof3?

Luckily this switch won't affect my plans much either way, as all of my PS (with the exception of the Fantasmic Pkg) are breakfasts. I WAS planning to do MK on Tuesday AM and Sunday AM (our last day), then Tuesday PM for Spectro. If they have Spectro on Thursday, then I'll just switch my MK PM to Thursday, which was going to be Epcot. I don't have dinner PS planned on either day.

How about you make PS for both nights - just in case? You can always cancel one when you find out the Feb 05 schedule. I have heard that Wednesday is traditionally the slowest day for MK and Monday one of the busier, but can't confirm. Anyway, I have to plan for Tuesday if they go like last year and Monday if they don't. Shall we all wear bright green hats & wave to each other at SPECTRO? :wave2:

I have 6 people at 3 locations to coordinate, but I am to the point now I am just going to prepare 3 potential itineraries and use whichever one works after the schedule arrives. But, hey, what's life without a little confusion? :crazy2:

:sunny:

jcemom my PS is for breakfast at MK. So last night I rearranged the schedule that isn't carved in stone but a guide line to go by. I was heading to DMGM on the Monday because the Sunday we will be up late due to being at Epcot. But I just changed everything so I don't miss my 90 day PS booking.

Pray it all works out well in the end.

That's great that you were able to rearrange it so that it will work! It is frustrating having to make PS 90 days out when you don't get a park schedule until less than 60 days out!
