I have been going to Disney World since it opened in 1971 and Spectromagic is the best parade I have every seen. The lights, the characters, and the AWESOME music. Buy the CD and take the magic home. Haven't seen Wishes but can't wait.
SPECTROMAGIC HINT:
Get a spot early, and if you have a beach towel or something, put it down for the kids to sit on. Get an ice cream or pretzel and it will be worth the wait. We like by the Hall of Presidents. My hint is to look for the plugs in the ground - about 3" - sit by one. Before the parade they will pop the plug and put in a pole with a rope. You are now in the front row and no one can sit in front of you. Some places are going to be cross walks that no one can sit in. Unfortunately, sometimes you can sit there until just before the parade when a CM will tell you to move and presto - you have no seat. Ask a CM if you are in a crosswalk.
HOOP-DEE-DOO:
My opinion, and I am not trying to be insulting to folks from around the US. I am originally from the N.E. and transplanted to the S.E. But I see you are from Texas. The HoopDeeDo is a ho-down. It is like a southern BBQ with entertainment. If you live in the south you have plenty of opportunity to do something like this for much less money. No one I know around here ever does it, or if they do they don't go back. ALOT of money! Spend it on the Castle for dinner or the Luau or something else that you may not have in your part of the country.
Have a wonderful trip!!
