Specromagic route ?

Is there a cetain order that Spectromagic follow when it is done twice a night? Does is start at the front then end at Peco's Bill first time through or the other way around? This will be for Dec26th- Jan 1st.

It starts at Main Street and ends at Splash Mountain for both parades!

Maybe they have changed things since our July 03 trip because it was ending on Main Street.

Your memory may be a bit foggy.

The parades are "run" by computer and are designed to operate the same way every performance.

The "3pm Parade" ends on Main Street.

But, "Spectromagic" ends in Frontierland (and was doing so in 2003).

Adisneynut, it is possible that you saw it reversed...

The only time they run the night parade from Frontierland to Main Street is when they are filming it (this way the castle is in the background as it comes up Main Street).

The actual reason that the Night parade is run from main Street to Frontierland is because there are so many floats. Day Parade rolls out of the Parade Storage building up the hill and straight out into the park so it can start in Frontierland without any problems. The night parade has to be "pre-staged", there is not enough room backstage in Frontierland to "pre-stage". When they bring the floats up to Main Street the have A LOT of room (as there is a large parking lot and a main road that they shut down) for staging. If you watch the parade step off from the barber shop, so you can see through the stage doors, you will see the floats coming from left and right as they have them set up in order to go out.

Another reason for the Main Street to Frontierland route for night parade is for crowd control. If the parade where to run the other route, once it passed the guests in Frontierland they would essentially be trapped, as the parade would be heading the same way they are trying to go. With it starting on Main Street as it ends you are not "following" the parade to try and exit the park, you are going away from it. Does this make sense??? Just thought I would throw out the "method to the madness"
