Specific ticket question

I tried reading through the FAQ and didn't see anything referencing my specific question. We have a trip booked for August (staying onsite) and bought our tickets from UT (before the date-based pricing went into effect). We're taking a quick trip at the end of April now, but don't have a room/tickets booked yet. Could I book fastpasses for the April trip, using the August trip tickets? And everything will be okay once we book the hotel/tickets for the April trip? I figured it was okay we don't have a room booked yet because we're within 30 days of the trip.
