Will a 5'8", 300-lb guest have issues with...

...Goofy's Barnstormer?
...Sci Fi regular bench seats? (the kids will want to sit in a regular car seat arrangement)
...sharing seats on some rides with young, small children? Which rides might there be a problem?

Thanks for your input!

I am also Pooh-Sized... 5'6", approx 250 on our last trip. We ate at Sci Fi, rode Barnstormer and I usually rode rides with my DS(10). I had absolutely no issues at all. The only thing I noticed with Barnstormer ... DS got in first, I followed. There were a couple times when I slid across the seat (it's a bench seat) and squashed DS. Only happened a couple times before I caught on and braced myself a little better. I was also concerned about Aladdins Magic Carpets, but also had no problems. Go, don't worry and enjoy !

You might want to check the seats in the Astro Orbitors before you choose to ride. They are extremely small. I am average sized, and had a hard time getting out of that seat.

okay as a fellow pooh sized diser I had a little trouble with space mt, the seats are narrow and you kinda have to slide in there and then pull the lap thing down. For a second I didnt think it would click in place. :scared1:

Then on RNR I had trouble because my "girls" ;) are large and the bar goes over your head. Well it would only go as far as the "girls" so it was up higher and level with my ears. My head keep knocking from side to side as we went around and when I got off I felt like someone had boxed my ears! :lmao:

Other than that no issues whatsoever. relax and have a great time! :goodvibes

We're just really looking forward to doing all the rides as a family now that the youngest is finally 40" tall. We thought Barnstormer would be a great introduction to roller coasters for him, to see if he would be able to handle BTMR after that. I'm just wondering, now that it seems like dh will be able to ride it too, should we do dh & ds in one seat, with me & other ds in another seat? Or should we have our to ds's (6 & 4) in one seat and then dh & I in another? Or should ds's ride in one, dh (Pooh) in one, and me (recently shrunken down Pooh) in another because it might be too tight to have me with dh, or with 2 ds's?

We've all done Aladdin before without issues... even when two of us were Pooh-sized!

I remember struggling to get in and out of that one, and that was after I started shrinking! Dh didn't do that one. Don't think he'd want to. It was more the sensation of spinning up so high that makes me not want to do that one again! I'm fine with heights, fine with spinning, but apparently not when the two are mixed! :scared1:

We don't ride SM anymore because it's the one ride that aggravates my back issues, and dh isn't to thrilled by it regardless.

It's closed for refurbishment during our two trips this year anyway.

I wonder if anything will change as far as the narrowness of the seats or the jerkiness of the ride (what affects my back) after the refurb... :confused3

My husband is more Pooh-sized than I am...but I'm very Pooh-ish. The only real issue we have had that I would like to mention is on Big Thunder. When I ride with my DH, there is considerable space left between myself and the safety bar, leaving me to slide and bounce all over the seat. That leads me to believe it would be worse with a small child. :scared1:
Just be careful that your child is secured either by the bar or by your body!
Have a great time!

I would probably suggest an adult ride with a child. I didn't ride with DH (he's 6'1" 200lbs) but I think we would have been uncomfortable. As you're waiting in line (hopefully a short one :goodvibes ) check out the coaster when you can see it. That'll give you a better idea. As far as Aladdin, Dumbo, AstroOrbiter, RnR and Space Mountain ... I didn't have issues due to size (although with RnR I had, ahem, "Squashed Girl Syndrome" :headache:) the slight problem I had was because it seems that if you're adult height, you ride with your knees somewhere in the vicinity of your ears. I did find it a little difficult manoeuvering myself out of there !
