I see availability for Cinderella's Table and Be Our Guest for nights of the Halloween party.
You must have a party ticket to make the reservation.

Anyone here book this, or not? And why?

I'm on the fence. I know there is a dessert party as well and you can watch Hallowishes from Tomorrowland Terrace.

Not sure if I want to extract myself from the actual party and go to one of these events. But the thought of a little calmer atmosphere and no crushing crowd is appealing.

Thoughts?

I don't think I would book an ADR for a sit-down meal during a special party, mostly because you have a limited time to enjoy the festivities. Obviously there are some people who don't mind, otherwise they would just close the restaurants during that time.

I would prefer that my sit-down meals be more relaxed. If it's the only time you can get in for those restaurants and they're must-do for you, I guess it's a harder decision.

For me and what we want out of the party, no way would I do an ADR dinner during the event. It sucks up so much valuable time. Heck, I don't even like to stop to eat AT ALL - we eat an early dinner before we go.

Even the dessert party - which I'm a fan of for a non-party night - I would likely not do for a party night.

You're paying a lot for a family to go to the party and there is plenty to do during the party. I would save expensive stuff like CRT or dessert parties for other nights.

We eat a meal at our resort at about 2:30pm. before heading over.
We just eat candy from our Halloween bag all night. It's part of the fun!

There's a reason there were openings left during the party.....

I agree with the others. No way would I pay for the party then pay for a pricey meal while missing so much party time.

Keep looking for another time to dine there. We always dined between 4 and 6 inside the park so we took advantage of low crowds during the day but escaped the busy crossover time.

We booked BoG last year but it was at 6:20 with a 7:00 party. I think we were done about 7:30 or so. Since we had been to a party before we weren't too concerned. We did not miss a thing. Saw the parade, castle show, and fireworks and actually did a few rides this time.

We went to the Halloween party, and I would not make the reservation just to keep that time. I would aim to eat when they start clearing out the park early for event ticket holders. Sit and eat while the crowds diffuse. Are you there for the trick or treating or to ride the rides? We did not do the candy as the lines were insane, but we rode the rides. I think we did Thunder Mountain about 7 times in a row, and some of them, they just let us sit in the ride with out getting off, as there were no people in line. The parade is awesome, but be prepared as the headless horseman goes by fast, and you don't have much time to get a picture or two if you aren't ready.

I wouldn't make an ADR during the party. It's a massive waste of party time, IMHO. When we went to MVMCP, we had a 5:30 pm BOG ADR which was perfect because it gets pretty crowded between 4 - 7 pm when party and non-party goers start mingling in the park (may be less this year with MK closing at 6 pm instead of 7 pm on party nights). If you want a TS, I would do it before the party. I also wouldn't book the dessert party unless you really want desserts. View from the terrace isn't great and, with less crowds, you shouldn't have trouble finding a spot to see the fireworks.

No, absolutely no way would I book an ADR during a party. I think that's just nuts. Why would you spend money to attend a party and then spend part of that party sitting down to spend more money eating a meal? That just doesn't make any sense to me at all

I would only do it if your family is dressing as the theme of the restaurant. If you are doing a Beauty and the Beast theme for costumes and go to BOG to eat, it would be neat photo opportunities.

Personally, I would not want a lengthy meal during the party. The party is only so long, and for the price of the ticket, I would feel like I wasn't getting my money's worth sitting in a restaurant with the party going on outside. I try to have a quick-service dinner before the party starts, and then enjoy some of the specialty snacks they bring out just for the party, normally while waiting for the parade.

Going to echo many other posters here...no, I would not book any ADRs during the party. We ate prior to the party then grabbed a small snack during it. For how much the party costs I would not want to spend that time eating. The party also felt like it went by fast and I think it would feel even faster if a lot of my time was spent eating somewhere that I could always eat at, any other time of any trip. Also, eating from your candy bag and maybe going home with a small stomach ache is part of the fun!

You guys are awesome and thank you so much for your responses!

You have confirmed my gut feeling--to just BE at the party and enjoy the whole time there. We have BOG reservations for party day at 1. I figured a nice lunch before the party would be best when I booked. We will just snack and do counter service as the evening progresses. Half of our fun last time were all the cool photo ops and special magic shots available. We don't wait in line for the 7 Dwarves or anything like that. I can't stand the thought of standing around for an hour just waiting.

Again, many thanks.

We are going to BOG on MNSSHP night. Sorta didn't want to, but it was the ONLY dinner night available for our late August visit of 6 nights 7 day stay. Not to happy about it. But.....if we can get in, and out fairly quick we'll be ok. And like one other poster said, I don't believe we will miss too much as we'll be there the whole day as we'll be there at rope drop till midnight. Long day I know but its Magic Kingdom. We'll still want more when Midnight rolls around. :)
