So here's the deal.....

My husband and I were married at Sea Breeze Point in 2007. We had the MOST AMAZING wedding cake - we still talk about it to this day. It was the yummiest concoction of chocolate cake with peanut butter mousse and buttercream frosting. The cake was made at the Boardwalk Bakery.

We are planning a trip in November and eating at Yachtsman on our first night. I would love to surprise him with a miniature replica of our wedding cake - since this is our last trip for just the two of us before we start a family. ;)

So - in order to pull this off - do I contact boardwalk bakery, yachtsman, or the cake hotline? I do not just want a "celebration cake". I am looking for a very specific cake - it has to be the same as our wedding cake. Just smaller.

I have read that people had better luck contacting the restaurant or bakery rather than going through the hotline....

Has anyone done this?

We are doing something similar. I called the Poly, as we're eating at Ohana's. I told them what I wanted, and they connected me with their bakery. I was told a 10' round, with Hibiscus flowers and the special icing I wanted, along with something special written in chocolate on the platter, is $60. They require 3 days advance notice. I was impressed. I've seen a whole thread dedicated to pics of these. I was VERY impressed.

Good luck! :thumbsup2
