Special Wine?

I think I remember hearing about a wine exclusive to Disney or DLR. Can someone please give me some more info about the wine, where to purchase, and approx cost. ThanksM

To add to what that thread says, it is available at the wine bar next to the tratoria, probably at the restaurant too and at Napa Rose for sure. It is NOT Banfi's Rosa Regal it is different, but it is similar. I think it was around $10-12 a glass.

That's interesting. The server at the Tratoria wine bar told me the exact opposite. Not only was I told that Disney has exclusive rights to the majority of the Banfi's vines, but I was also told a very captivaing story of Cleopatra's interest in this wine that was thought to be lost.

Is it correct to assume this wine is private labeled by Banfi for Disney? When CA first opened Mondavi did this same thing.

I can tell you it's not, it is the wrong color and flavor. The wine bar also said it is not the same. It is darker and not as sweet.

i first tried this wine 2 years ago. I am not a wine person. But my boyfriend told me it should be fruity. I tried it and it was very yummy..$13.50 a glass oww..we later found it at the grand californian hotel gift shop for $30. Not sure why, but we did not buy it.

Last month, we decided to take a trip to Huntington just to deep sea fish on a boat. We decided to only go to the gift shop at the Grand Californian to just get the wine. I bought 2 bottles and brought them home..i still have one in the fridge im saving for a special occasion. YUMM...we will probably go again in sept. or oct this time to actually visit the parks..and boy, was it hard not to go play in the park when i was at the gift shop..i was soooo close..i told the bf if im not back in 20 minutes, then that means im out playing :]
