My two year old daughter and i will be having a princess breakfast and Id like something special for my husband to do with the other twin. They'll be 2 3/4 but hes not very verbal or super into characters. What he does love though is vehicles. What could they get or do that might be an extra special thing? It doesn't need to be at the time as the breakfast though i do want a picture at least since he has a tendency to be literally running out of the frame as i take them or just be too busy to get at all.

The guys should go to Carsland in DCA. Your son is probably too short to ride the Radiator Springs Racers ride, but it's fun to watch the cars speed by as long as it won't upset him to learn that he can't go ride on them himself. They should be able to ride the Mater ride. There is a meet and greet and photo opportunity that alternates between Lightning McQueen and Mater. Red the Firetruck also comes out periodically for meet and greets. There is also a musical show with the car DJ that passes through Carsland several times a day. Carsland has several shops with plenty of Cars related merchandise.

If that isn't enough for them, then have them catch a ride on the Red Car Trolley. It runs between Buena Vista Street and the Tower of Terror.

In Disneyland, there are a variety of Main Street vehicles to catch a ride on. They can visit the firehouse. They can ride Autopia. There is a stationary toon vehicle for kids to climb up on and sit in in Toontown.

Lots of things for vehicle fans to ride, look at, or buy in the parks.

Isn't there also a Ridemakerz location in Downtown Disney? That's another idea.

Yep, agreed on this!

All of Cars Land as mentioned above. Definitely Autopia where he can also get his own drivers license. Also ride in the cockpit of the Monorail, that is super fun and is still one my son's favorites. The train is great too! It's also fun to take the various vehicles down Main St., especially the old fire truck, which was one of Walt's favorites.

Agreed. OP, just be prepared that there may be a number of families with the same idea, so you may have to wait some time at the platform in order to make this happen. In my experience, the odds are also much, much better asking the CM's at Downtown Disney Station than at Tomorrowland.

We have done this 4 times now and have never had a long wait when boarding in Tomorrowland. Usually it's just a wait for the next one to come. Just wait at the first gate and tell the CM that you want to sit up front and they will make it happen. What I like about boarding in the park is that you don't have to disembark at DTD, you can stay put for the ride back to Tomorrowland which takes a different route and circles around the Matterhorn which is pretty cool. If you board in DTD then they do make you get off at Tomorrowland. Either way it's awesome!

Ds was about 28 months when we last went and he loves trains and vehicles. Still does at 4.5 :)
He was actually terrified of maters ride. He loved loved loved Autopia and Casey jr.
We also had an extra day and visited Adventure city not too far away. It's no DLR but at $17 a person, it was fine. The rides were perfect for my younger kids. There's a 911 vehicle ride that DS loved. I swear we rode it 10 times.

Your son would probably enjoy eating breakfast at Flo's. You can sit outside and watch the RSR cars race by while you eat tire shaped waffles with McQueen and Sally printed on either side. I'm not sure if they still have them, but in 2012 we got the kids' lunches served in McQueen containers (similar to the popcorn containers) and the kids still use them to keep little toys inside.

There are often several photopass photographers around carsland. Your son will likely enjoy climbing on the baby tractor next to Mater's ride.

Yes. Just be warned that if you have an enthusiastic little car designer that the car could end up costing well over $100!
Yeah, I wouldn't recommend this for under 5 years old. My almost 6 year old son spent close $100 on his remote controll monster truck. He really enjoyed the experience of choosing all of the parts and putting it together, but I'm glad we didn't do this when he was younger, as he wouldn't have had the patience for it.

Hes not the sit and watch sort at all or the eating sort for that matter but he would love the lunch containers! I think Flo's was on my list of to dos for dca anyway. It sounds like maybe just turning him loose in cars land (with his father obviously) would be great. Ridemakerz sounds cool but he wouldn't even participate at this point so it would be a waste.

We asked once and were told they weren't allowing people to ride in the front at that time :(
