An Annual pass is going to work out better for a longer extended trip to Disney World. My sister and myself have visited WDW twice now for extended trips, one was for 3 weeks and the other for 6 weeks. An AP will give you discounts on merchandise, some restaurants at Downtown Disney like Wolfgang Puck and T Rex I think. Plus it also gives you the option of buy the Tables in Wonderland card, which is $75 dollars I think but at most table service places you save 20% off the dining bill. If you have any further questions let me know

Thought we should quickly jump in on this.
Just remember that now magic bands, my magic plus, fast pass plus etc .....annual pass holders don't get the same amount of fast pass reservations as other ticketed guest. And at least when we were planing...you can't book as far in advance as other tickets guest. This could have been changed by now...not certain
So you have to factor that cost savings for annual pass (for a longer trip) with limited fast pass bookings.
Though for, some fast, pass is not really a concern or interest to them.
Just know when we were trying to figure out to buy tickets or annual pass...the fast pass and booking situation pushed us to buy tickets in place of annual pass
As we were at that awkward amount of time at WDW...where annual pass did increase ticket cost...but all the extra discounts and savings might makeup, for the extra cost.
And we were not certain if we would be able to make it back within a year to get more value out of annual pass.
But to us the deal killer to spend more on the annual pass was fast passes and booking windows.
Again all of this might be different now. When we were booking our January 2015 trip. Magic bands and fast pass plus was just introduced.
