Special things to do in Disney

Hi,

My husband is currently deployed to Afghanistan and will be back before Christmas of this year. We will be celebrating a few biggies while he is deployed; his 40th B-day, our 10th anniversary, oldest Daughter's 1st Communion and Youngest daughter's 1st day of Kindergarten. We are planning to go to Disney in April of 2011 and I am wondering if there is anything extra special that we can do as a family to celebrate all the things we missed while he was away. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks so much!!

There are so many things you can do tha twould make the trip special. Here are a few we have done.

1. Take them to eat at the castle.. it takes 2 table credits if your on the disney dinning plan, but its worth it.

2. I sent my kids on a pirate cruise, My kids did the CBR pirate cruise. I dropped them off at like 9am and picked them back up at 11:30 am. They went on a boat and searched around the resort of treasure. DS, and DD where both 5. They loved it and are still talking about it. I think it cost me around 24 per child.

3.You can take the girl to do the BBB. They will do her hair and dress her up all like her favorite princess. It can get spendy so be aware before you go.

4. I would suggest maybe getting the babysitting service and going out together for a nice dinner to celebrate together. I would recommend California Grill.

5. Let your kids pick out dinner with their favorite character.

6. Do a night cruise for the fireworks.

7 My last comment is anything will be special as long as you guys are together and remember why you are there.
