"On-site Resorts

While you’re here, stay on-site and receive unprecedented Summer Savings for Passholders - save 40% on room rates!
- Loews Royal Pacific Resort - from $146.40*
- Hard Rock - from $170.40*
- Loews Portofino Bay Hotel - from $179.40*

Now through August 16, book online or call
1-866-PASS-4-FUN!"

Thanks! I decided to get the preferred ap for just myself and powerpasses for the kids), and it dropped my rate from 233 (AAA) to 155! Even though I only have one night booked (Sat July 12) , it still covers the difference between the power pass and the preferred pass, and now with the opportunity for room discounts, maybe I'll go more often!

How do I find out the APH rates on the Loews or Universal www? I am trying to check out the rates for the 4th of August for 1 night at RPH however it keeps quoting $244

Thanks in advance

try to login here

But I am not sure if the special hotel rates are on the website. Just call 1-866-PASS-4-FUN and ask them about your dates.

Good luck!

Awesome rate!

Be sure to use your AP every time you buy something at universal. We only go for a week once a year, but I save SO much with my APH.

:)

Are these rates available to those with a Power Pass, or do you have to have the Preferred or Premium Passes?

no discount with the power pass.
the power pass is only good for park admittance.

the preferred and premium passes are valid for the free parking, discounts for hotels, food and merch.

As usual, Mac is correct....I have the preferred and I just have to remember to use it at any place I buy something. We have been to most of the shops and I can't remember to tell them I am an annual pass holder. Wish I could use it on parking AT the hotel....LOL

let me share how cheap i am......

last year i forgot to show my ap or aaa card at a few places.

i took the reciepts to gs and they honored it for me.
i think it was mummy dust they were spreading on me cause i have not heard this happening before.

dave, check with gs and give it a whirl.

also, check your trippie in the other forum, you should not be paying that parking fee for day parking as you are a hotel guest.
front desk can straighten that out for you.

wait...you get to park free at the hotel with preferred ap? I thought it was only at the parking garage at the park. lmk... cause i'll rethink renting a car for the week.

**edit...no you can't

**edit...yes you can.

you get free parking at the garage with the preferred or premium passes

you do not get free parking at the hotels with the preferred annual pass.

if you have the handicap placard, or handicap license plates, your parking fee at the hotel can be waived.

i see what you are talking about now.
dave has a trip report going on while he is staying at pbh right now.

he mentioned that he had to pay a fee of $15 for the day parking and then another fee of $12 for night parking at the hotel.
this was an oopsie at the garage that a manager can handle for him.

i told him on his trippie he needed to see the manager as he does not pay both fees. he is a hotel guest there and his $12 charge is per day his car is parked there.

there is no free parking for hotel guests.

guests at the hotel that have a friend, relative, etc come see them for the day do have a fee to park in the garage at pbh as they are only visiting.

dave is not visiting, but has a room at the hotel. he only pays the one fee.

::yes:: I see said the blind (wo)man. I understand. It doesnt matter to me for this trip as we booked a car service, but for future reference.
thanks

glad i caught what i said earlier to the homie .....

just what i need to have my name with that rumor.

there is a charge for day visitors to park in the garage.
and there is a different charge for guests staying in the hotel for keeping their car there while on vacation and staying there.

the homie is going to post the sign he saw up in his trippie this week or when he comes back from the UO vacay.

Hi, I'm new here, usually stay at Disney but thought a change would be nice. Can't figure out which hotel to stay at of the three. And how to get the best rate. I've been reading the boards and it sounds so confusing! And are you really saying that HRH, PBH and RPR are actually charging for parking if you are staying at their hotel? Even Disney doesn't do that. We are going for a few days after our Disney cruise the beginning of November. Do the 3 hotels have the same basic rates? Thank you.

disney just has the prices higher as it does include the parking at the resorts built into the total price.

the 3 hotels have different rates as they have different size and styles of rooms.
a standard room is the lowest in cost.
if you need help on figuring out cost, use this link to the hotels.

http://www.universalorlando.com/hotels.html

you can also use this site for the room layouts and descriptions each hotel has.

click on the hotel and put your dates in to see the rates available.

rates for ap and aaa discounts do change at times.
when they are lowered, you call to modify the rate for your room.

if you are planning to go at a time where the rates are not listed yet, you will get the rack rate amount. book then and modify later.

if you are wanting to book over 12 months out, do it by phone to lock the room in. then when the discount rates are published, you can get the rate lowered.
AAA usually gives you up to a 35% discount on the rooms.
AP can also give a good deal.
the super saver rate is for a 4 night stay and is the cheapest of them all.

to get a room at rph at $143 is a deal. it is a 4 star hotel and has many amenities.
each hotel has a different theme to it.
all have child care activities for a parents night out.
all have activities throughout the day for kids at the hotel.

resturants are at all 3 hotels.

you can go to any of the three for dinner and transportation by water taxi is free.

all 3 have different pools.
rph has the sand beach and water games, hrh had the slide and underground music, pbh has a couple of pools, one very hidden and quiet.

pool hopping is encouraged so you don't have to decide on the hotel based on the pool. each hotel pool area has a shower/locker area where you can get towels, use a locker, freshen up, etc. that way you don't have to take items with you to the other hotel for pool usage.

check out the link and see what type of room and atmosphere would suite you and your family the best.

i favor HRH but that is just me.
all the hotels have something different to offer guests.
i have stayed at all 3.

if you think you favor one of the hotels or unsure between 2 of them, let us know if we can help you more.

there is so much to learn about the hotels i could not do it justice until you checked out the website.

Wow! Thanks for the info. You know so much about the hotels..Can you tell me what the AP is(annual pass?) and how that helps to get the room discounted? It's just me and DH going for 2 nights Nov 8&9 after our Dis cruise. Would love to try one of the Loew's hotels.

annual passes:
power
preferred
premium

the power annual pass has black out dates and is not valid for hotel discounts.
preferred and premium passes are valid for hotel discounts.

most get the preferred annual pass. with it you can get deep discounts for the onsite hotels.
when you want to check the room rate, pull up the uo or loews site for the three rooms. use the code APH to find out the discount cost of the room.

if you have triple a, then you would enter AAA for the code.

with the preferred/and premium passes, you get free parking in the garage after you have the ap.
you also receive 10% discount on food and merch in the parks.
premium has better perks but the cost is not good for me as i only make few trips each year to universal.

this link will show what each pass offers the holder:

click on the button that states "Find The Perfect Pass"

i tried to copy it below but it isn't clear enough to understand.)

many people book their rooms in advance and take whatever rate is available. when ap rates, aaa rates come out, they call the reservationist and modify their room rate.

i do believe the ap rate is out at this point for november.

Thanks so much for all your help. Amazing that you are so informed on this. I don't think I could ever remember all that info...lol .
