Does Santa wrap the gifts in different paper?
or does he use some of the same kind you do?

I screwed up when my girls were little and used the same paper. My then 3 year old said, "Mommy, why did Santa use our wrapping paper?" :confused3

LOL, I have always been using the same paper, I don't think anyone has ever said anything :rotfl:

Yep, separate paper. :thumbsup2

I had a co-worker whose wife bought a boat load of the same paper years ago. Each girl has their own separate paper theme. They keep it in a storage locker away from the house. He has to go and pick it up every year and then return what they didn't use.
As his daughters are 10 and 16, I think its a little overkill at this point but to each his own. :goodvibes

Santa's wrapping paper has images of Santa on it! That's how you know it is from him. Any other wrapping paper is fair game for the rest of the gifts.

(Please keep in mind that I have only being doing this for 2 years- my DS is 15 months old, so this is his second Christmas- I reserve the right to give up in a couple of years if I want!)

I use separate paper too. The kids stocking gifts are wrapped in the same paper as their big gifts. I didn't rent a storage locker though (wow talk about money to burn) I put the paper with all the other paper and they never noticed. I bought two huge rolls at Walmart a number of years ago and am beginning to feel like it is the paper that never ends.

I did the same thing this year with my kids (16 & 11) simply because it is easier for me, no gift tags needed.

At our house Santa only ties red bows around the gifts or puts them in the stockings.

When my kids were little I always used different paper for "Santa's" gifts. A lot of times it was Disney themed (what else with a name like DisneyMim), or just Santa themed. My kids told me when they got older that it really added to the whole Santa thing. I also used to put Santa's boot prints, with flour and my husband's boots, leading away and to the fireplace. Now that didn't work for long, just when they were very little, but I got a kick out of it!!

I hope everyone has a magical wonderful Christmas!!

At our house, family paper is fun and whimsical and colorful! Santa however, always wraps in red paper with green ribbon/bows. :D Very festive.

Different paper for Santa...I bought a ton years ago and Santa's paper is in a container in the basement.

Santa always leaves his gifts at our house in only-used-by-Santa paper. It does generally vary from year to year, but we make sure it is only used by Santa, not us - DH keeps the roll in his closet until after Christmas

At our house, older son's gifts are wrapped in red paper, the younger son's on green, and family gifts are in silver. No nametags -- each year Santa leaves a note reminding us about the colors.

I remember as a kid being really angry at my mother one Christmas, the one I figured out there was no Santa. I was probably in 1st grade and loved to show off my reading skills, so I got to read all of the gift-tags. I noticed that Santa's handwriting was exactly the same as my mother's -- and connected the dots and told my mother I knew she was Santa. It still ticks me off. I refuse to let my lack of attention to detail be what derails my kids' belief in Santa.

That said, it amazes me that kids don't compare notes, or if they do, they don't care. At some houses Santa wraps, at others he doesn't. Santa fills the stockings at some houses, while mom and dad do it at others. I wish there was a rulebook. :santa:

In our house, Santa doesn't wrap gifts...Santa's gifts tend to be a bit more bulky/hard to wrap so that makes it easier too! :)

Santa doesn't wrap at our house either because usually he brings one really big gift for the family. I'm not sure what to do this year though because there really wasn't anything big that everyone wanted so the kids all got one gift each that was more expensive in addition to their smaller gifts. :confused

Yes, Santa wraps in his own paper, the cheap character paper from the Dollar Store.

Santa only uses Princess themed wrapping paper. The gifts from Mom and Dad are completely different.

I dress up as Santa when putting the presents out while DW videotapes it from behind. The kids love getting to "see" Santa every year.

Last year my oldest, then 7, threw me for a loop. She was hoping we would have snow on Christmas because she wanted to see the tracks from the sleigh and the Reindeer. She wanted to be sure he existed. We don't have a chimney, and of course it snowed. So I was outside in the middle of the night making reindeer and sleigh tracks with a stick. He also lost a button last year.

Luckily no snow is coming this year, and the oldest still believes. This will probably be her last year though. I'm guessing by age 9 and 4th grade the gig will be up. Still have some more time with the 4 year old though.

Definitely. Santa always used different paper. Of course, it isn't necessary anymore since my son is 24 years old - :goodvibes

Definitely different paper for Santa--and it always has pics of Santa on it.

I buy the roll. Hide it until Christmas Eve, wrap the Santa gifts. Unroll the rest of the wrapping paper that I didn't use, then smush it all up, inside out so the design doesn't show, double bag it and throw it in the outside trash.
I'm a little obsessed with making sure they didn't find out by mistake.
:lmao:

Santa doesn't wrap our gifts. They are placed under the tree, fully assembled next to each person's stocking...which are filled and placed under the tree as well.
