Special rates in January

I've heard that last year there was a special rate in january, what was it???

We are planning a trip for this January and I wouldn't miss out on that special!

And an other question, if you book with AAA/CAA (for canadians) and the meal plan comes out free in the periode that you booked would AAA/CAA change your reservation and updated with the free dining plan???

I don't know about the special rate in Jan. We have gone the last two
New Years and the value rates at the delux start Jan.1

If you want the dinning package you have to book a entire package so
you would not be able to take advantage of any code room discount rates.

AAA does offer discounted packages (not much but every little bit helps)
and yes, in our case they were able to change our package where we had
ordered the dinning plan, to the free dinning when it came avaliable for our
dates. However you do lose the AAA discount then and have to pay the
rack rate for the package. It still saved us about $200.00 to go with the
free dinning for 4 nights even tho we gave up the AAA discount. One note,
I had to notify our AAA agent about the free dinning when I read about it
on these boards , she was not aware of it, but she was very helpful in
getting it changed for me once I brought it to her attention.

The Swan and Dolphin are running a special in Jan for $159 a night. Code is RUN.

We switched room only (w/AAA discount) on site ressies to the MYW plan when it was 1st offered this year. We had to cancel the original ressie, and rebook it entirely (a credit and another charge to credit card). We were told it had something to do with their computer system. In the past we have booked room only ressie @ rack rate, then requested the AAA discount once they were announced with no problem. Good Luck.
