So, have any of you ever seen people at the parties without wristbands? Did you say anything to them?

Thursday evenings party, there was a couple who stood behind us the entire time without wristbands. They had just had dinner at Liberty tree. I did say to them that it was a party & they needed wristbands to be there. They told me they had just spent $200 on dinner, so , they were staying. I would not have noticed them if not for the lady constantly stepping on my toes....

So, have any of you ever encountered non paying party guests & what did you do? Sucks we paid over $300 to be there & they did not. So, it got me wondering just how many people actually do sneak in & stay....

How could 2 people spend $200 at Liberty Tree?

They stood behind you the entire time? Do you mean during the parade? If you were concerned about it, I would have found a cm.

yes, that's what I thought $200 at LT?....The man was angry and yes they stood behind us the entire time of the parade and kept stepping on my toes in my flip flops! Once everything was over, we pointed them out to a CM b/c they stayed put in the spot. We went on our way. They were yelling at the CM the same thing they said to us " I just spent $200 on dinner " I was just wondering is this normal for a party?

There's always people who try to get away with it. The cm's try to check people, it's unlikely they could have got on a ride or in a store.

We saw a guy almost punch a CM because they told him that his family either needed to buy tickets or leave last year during the Halloween party. This was before the parade started, but they were sitting on the curb on Main Street waiting for it.

But they did get to see the parade, which is what most people go to the party for. (Well, not just the parade, but all the party-exclusive things.)

Did the CMs never walk by and ask for wristbands? Usually while we are waiting for the parade we have someone walk by at least every 5-10 minutes asking to see our wristbands.

Did you mean to quote me or did you mean to quote the OP? I wasn't there. ;)

I've usually been more concerned with what is going on with the party than checking all the other guests to see if they have a wrist band or not. No one can sneak in, but there will always be those who overstay their welcome. Some may be unaware of the rules for the parties, but most of the offenders are trying to enjoy the benefits of the party without paying the price. CMs do their best to weed them out but its hard to check every single one of up to 50,000 guests when they refuse to all stay put. I wouldn't advise confronting these ne'er do wells directly. You never know how they might react. Better to discretely point them out to the closest CM.

Just out of curiosity, if these people were standing behind you the whole time, how could they have repeatedly trod on your toes? If you suffer from a rare physical deformity, I apologize for being intrusive.

...and kept stepping on my toes in my flip flops!

I would have reported them for getting into my flip flops!

Seriously, there's no good answer for people who knowingly remain in the park without the required tickets. That's why CMs are there, to handle the trespassers.

I don't generally notice, but if I noticed at a parade and they said something like that to me I'd probably seek out a CM and say something. More and more people are complaining about the crowds at these parties and the parades are definitely intended only for those who paid for a party ticket. I'd be upset if they just allowed people without tickets to stay.

Yes, it is frustrating, but I don't know if I would worry too much about it. So they got to see a parade, that's about all they would be able to do.

We've had a late ADR once that ended during the party, we were escorted out by a Cm. Now she did her best but they were trying to get a group of us, non ticket holders out, down mainstreet, during the parade. It was almost impossible to stay together. Some people did "break off" on purpose (they had been talking about it).

I was at Sunday night's party. DD21 and I were in line for Cinderella, Rapunzel and their princes at about 6:40. The line was not yet moving. There were two girls ahead of us in line who did not have bands. I am not the line police, but I didn't want them to be turned away, either. It was still early enough that if they wanted to get in the standby line and at least see the princesses, they could have done that. DD and I wondered what to do, and DD decided that she would say something, since she was closer to their age.

They had been wondering if they were in the wrong place as it happens. I explained that they could still do standby, and although I was not the line police I would hate to see them use their last nearly 30 minutes in the park only to be turned away. They said that a CM had put them in this line, and they didn't even know that the princes were there. They just were so excited to meet Cinderella. So one of them stepped out to ask another CM what to do. They were told that it would probably be fine, especially since a CM had told them the wrong place to be. Sure enough, they were allowed in, and I was glad because I was ready to go to bat for them after two different CMs told them it would be okay.

We caught up with them again outside, though, and they said they were told that they weren't going to be able to do anything else. DD and I did notice CM's looking us over for bands several times later throughout the evening. Since we had short sleeves on, no one ever had to ask to see ours, though.

As long as they weren't trying to get on a ride, I probably wouldn't notice. We were there in Nov and the cms were checking for wrist bands before you got into line. If people argue about leaving they should be escorted out by security.

We were at the FP section for the afternoon parade and there were ropes up. We checked in and sitting on the curb. About ten mins before the parade was due to come by, the CM comes by and says' We are taking down the ropes and there will be a rush of people coming over. You ( meaning the guests) need to remind to check in with CM for the FP location" ...Well, no big rush of people came over, but I wasn't too pleased that I was suppose to be the FP police. Maybe that is the policy with the parties, CM don't check, it's up to you to remind people they don't belong there.....

No, that is not the policy at the parties. Usually Disney is very good about checking for wrist bands, but there will always be the few who think they can hide. More often than not they are caught. Waiting for a Christmas parade a few years back more than one family was scooped up by CMs and told to either buy tickets then and there, or escorted out.
