Has anyone ever stayed here?? I realize it's newly renovated, but was wondering about the location, etc. Any info would be great!!

Oh, and I booked it for 3 nights in Dec. - $166 total including tax!!!! :woohoo:

What a great deal!!! Thank you for sharing. I'll be interested to see if anyone has stayed here.

Be sure to write a review when you get back. :)

Hey kilee -
It's good to hear from you! Yes, it sound like a great deal and the price can't be beat. I'll definitely review when I get back in Dec., but hopefully somebody from the boards will have more info.

Thanks for the info I just booked this for my arrival day before I check in at BWV.:goodvibes

You're right Spiceycat, the location looks really really great!

The grounds are beautiful!

Can't wait for someone to stay to see how the rooms are!

Maybe Dh and I can save this nice place for our own third vacation instead of a family one..He refuses to go anywhere that isn't a condo. Thanks a bunch OP!

Just read on hotel planner that they have an "hourly" bus to the parks! I hope that's true--most hotels I've seen only have one a few times a day!

I stayed there last month for one night before we moved to SS and I won't be staying there again any time soon.

I first stayed in the OLD hyatt in 1988 when I was in high school. I last stayed there in 2001 right before it closed down when my son was 5 weeks old. So I have seen it at it's better and at it's not so good.

They are refurbishing the rooms because it has been closed down since 2001. That said, the bed linens were new, beds were new, and carpeting was new. So were the bleach stains on the floors by the doors which obviously were sprayed on liberally to get rid of mold. When you walk in the doors to the rooms all you smell is air freshener. WAY WAY WAY too much air freshener to cover up the musty moldy smell. Inside the rooms is the same smell. It permeates everything. MY whole family has allergies and asthma and I could barely breathe. I couldn't keep the balcony door open because of the hornet nest outside the door - I didn't want them to fly in the room.

It is a pet friendly hotel too and you could end up in a room that held pets and since I am allergic to cats I was very worried. I didn't know until the day before check in and didn't want to change plans and needs a basic discount hotel.

So, they are refurbishing but it is a cover up.
Stay at your own risk!

If you have breathing issues bring nebulizers.

I'm heading down in a few weeks solo and might just stop by and check out one of the rooms...
