The Post Office are running a special promotion until the end of October, got a memo yesterday to inform that if customers order £500 or more on travellers cheques or currency they get a special rate, I called today to check the rates, todays rate was nearly 1.92 for orders of less than £500 and almost 1.96 for the special promotion. One of the conditions I believe is that you are not allowed to mix, you could not get £300 of travellers cheques and £200 of currency, it has to be at least £500 of one product, hope that makes sense !!

Yesterday Travelex was $1.9801, but has gone down a bit today to $1.9781. With Travelex even with £250 the same rate applies.

Thats the one, so 3 cards with no fees now. Nationwide has saved me hundreds of pounds in recent visits compared to taking TC or cash, best thing is being out there and the rate rises.

The Thomas Cook card offers no foreign transaction fee plus gives points on purchases for using at TC!
