Can anyone tell me (as far as we know right now) if there will be a special night, or dinner or menu for our July 18th cruise to Alaska. I've been internet shopping for some kind of Frozen - type apparel in case there will be a Frozen dinner. I could just wait till Alaskan cruises start again but l'm too excited! I'm thinking top and jewellery not full on Elsa gown👸🙃
Second question - people talk about bringing sturdy, reusable drinks container, say for coffee? We are hugh coffee/tea drinkers and might like more than one little cup to take out on the deck. Would a WDW resort mug work?
Third - Is it okay to grab food from Cabanas, say an apple or other fruit or a bagel/wrap and wrap it up to take on a day trip at a port. I mean at normal buffets (on land) its frowned upon.
First time cruiser here, 63, and brought up not to break rules - LOL.
Last one - for now - we only travel with carry-on luggage + backpack for 1 week trips. Do we have to leave it at the dock on embarkation or can we carry it onto the ship?
Many thanks to all you veteran cruisers!

Won't know about any special night for Alaska until they start the cruises. You can bring any type of refillable mug. At the self serve stations, you need to use the cups there to get your drink and then pour it into your mug. I haven't cruised since covid, so I don't know if you get your own drinks like before covid or if the cms are doing it for you. You can only bring food that is factory sealed onto and off the ship. So no fruit or pre-made sandwiches or bagels. I often bring cereal bars from home. There will be signs posted on the ship on port days. We once saw a group get hit with huge fines because they tried to sneak some food off. You can take food from Cabanas to your cabin though if you'd like. You can carry on your bags, but will have to carry them around with you until your cabin is ready. Usually cabins weren't ready until after 1pm before covid, not sure if that's the time now.

I can somewhat answer this one :) Any carry on luggage will stay with you when you board the ship until they allow you into your room. Once they allow you into your room(s), you can drop off your carry on luggage.

As long as your carry-on can fit through the security scanner, you can take it on board yourself. But, you might consider letting the porters take it depending on what time you arrive. On our January Magic cruise, staterooms did not open until 3, and we were on board just before noon. That's a long time to haul luggage around.
