My sister and I are considering a Disney cruise. She is glucose intolerant and needs to avoid foods made with sugar, honey, etc. Also, she tries to avoid starchy foods. If I let DCL know this upfront, will they be able to provide her with a menu that will suit her situation? And if anyone else has done this, could you tell me some examples of selections that they have eaten while cruising?

All the dinner menus have a "lite" fare that includes a grilled chicken breast, grilled sirloin steak and grilled fish. You can request salads with dressings on the side. And you could ask for fresh fruit if she can eat that.

If you will discuss her dietary needs with them beforehand they will be sure to have foods she can eat. These would probably be similar to a diabetic diet.

Be sure to discuss her requirements with your head server and servers. They will be able to tell her how each dish is prepared and what she should avoid.

From what I've read of special meals prepared for children and adults with food allergies I think you could have a great time and enjoy the food.
