Hey im just wondering how many of you guys and girls have gotten special/lucky treatment by disneyland employees.

A few occasions i have include:

getting in line for HMH (wait was 1:30) and talking to my friends when someone said i wish we had a fastpass. Then the fastpass man let us go through so that was cool

One time i was in the candy store and the clerk gave me a free cookie on my b-day

and on indiana jones the conrol man or girl cant remember... let me go on 2 times

so how about u.. have any occasions?

Last February, got on Dumbo with my daughter (6 at the time). CM came up and told her that Goofy wanted to ride with her. So she was escorted by the CM to a Dumbo that Goofy was riding in. She thought that was very cool and it really made her feel special. :yay:

Not really super special, but on our first day we were taking pictures of the castle. A CM came up and mentioned that she noticed how much we/my DSS were concentrating on our pictures. She took us to where most of the official photos of the castle are taken. We got some really great pics. It made us feel good, and like we got a special secret. I was wishing that the Dream team would be hiding somewhere near there, but no luck.

When we went to Mickey's ToonTown Morning Madness, our 3 year old was in a funny mood and caught the eyes of a couple CMs there. They asked us to be the honorary family for the festivities, and we got to be up on stage during their little show. We got a scroll with our family name (well, MY last name, not my hubby's or DS's, but that's to be expected when spouses keep their own names and kids get hyphenated) to take home.

So we thought that was pretty special. :)

I had one of those awful times getting to DL when I went in August. I had to change planes in Minneapolis, and there was bad weather there, so we were 80 minutes late leaving Chicago, and my layover was only 60 minutes. But when I got there I found out that they had held my flight for some of us who were late, so I ran through the airport (a long way!) and got to my gate after they had closed the door. They re-opened it and I made my flight, but unfortunately I found out when I got to Orange County that my suitcase hadn't.

When I got to Anaheim I went to DL to pick up my ticket for the Segway tour the next day, and then go to the park. As I was getting my tour ticket, a manager (I believe his name was Ky) started talking to me, and told me to make sure I wore gym shoes for the tour. I told him that I'd be wearing exactly the same thing as I was wearing that night, because my suitcase didn't make it. (Thank goodness I've started wearing my park shoes on the plane just in case, so I did have them!) He asked me if I was going into DL that night, and I said yes. He told me to follow him and he took me in through an exit without scanning my ticket (I did have a ticket for that night, so that didn't matter, but I might not have), and then told me to wait while he went into a little building at the entrance, and said he was going to give me something. I figured he'd give me the little YOAMD pins or something, which was nice, but when he came out he had a voucher for two free t-shirts! He said he felt bad for me that I didn't have my clothes. How cool is that?! I got $60 worth of shirts! And it was nice to have a brand new Tink shirt to wear on the tour the next day instead of the shirt I had travelled in.

I saw him a day or two later and told him that I had gotten my bag the next day at 5pm, and he asked me if I had gotten the shirts, and I told him yes and thanked him again. That was so nice of him to do, much more than I got from the airline (Northwest :rolleyes1 ).

4 incidents on my last trip (and we gave all of them a good report at City Hall)

1: Erik and Aladdin at Soarin. He was hilarious and made us dance/sing for the front middle. Then we saw him again at the Aladdin show.

2. Tim at Blue Bayou. He was sooooo funny and a great waiter. Before the meal he was like, "Sorry, we're out of Monte Cristos" and that was the sole purpose of our Blue Bayou meal so we were all upset, but then he said he was joking and we all started laughing.

3. Kevin at the Matterhorn. So we got in line, but my friend ran to get ice cream and we thought she could meet us back in line. But we got to the point right before the overhang and we waited for her. When she came back with the ice cream, we had a fun chat with Kevin right there. Once we were done with our ice cream, he let us on the ride through the exit.

4. not really special treatment, but Hector on the Jungle Cruise. 4 words: Funniest Jungle Cruise ever! Even he was laughing the whole ride. And it was late at night.

Good memories.

That is a great story! That's the kind of thing that makes Disney, Disney!

My older son and I were at DL with friends three years ago, right before Christmas, and we had been bad about scheduling a character meal. We kept putting it off and finally ended up getting reservations for lunch at Goofy's Kitchen on the day we were leaving. Unfortunately, the hotel had a power outage that morning and lunch was canceled. My poor little guy was devastated (this kid doesn't generally get too upset about things, but he had had his heart set on a character meal), and he just started sobbing. Several of the characters were milling about in the lobby so my friend went over and talked to them and got Aladdin to come back over to talk to my son. Aladdin got down on the floor and talked with my son for a good ten minutes, signed a personalized autograph, and was just so sweet to him.
