Special experiences if ineligible for Grand Gathering?

Would anyone know whether special experiences (such as a private safari) can be arranged for a large group if that group is not eligible for a Grand Gatherings experience? Not everyone in our group will be staying at a Disney-owned hotel, which seems to disqualify us from G.G. Thanks in advance for any and all info (and suggestions!).

How about a Wishes or Illuminations Cruise? They are a great experience. I'm sure if you call the folks at 1-407-WDW-TOURS they may have some suggestions for you.

Not everyone has to stay on site - just 80% of your group. There are all the regular tours which can be a lot of fun done as a group.

Thank you for that 80% info. Someone just PM'd me with the same info. Had not read that anywhere. Not surprisingly, WDW keeps that little factoid hidden. And 80% may be a threshold we can reach.

The cruise idea is probably one we will pursue. Thanks again!

Also, you could post for a fellow dis board member to join your
gathering. Two years ago I answered a post to join a diser for
the Illuminations dinner and viewing. We had a great time and
the snacks and hot cocoa at the viewing were a nice treat.
Neither of our families were big enough alone but together we
qualified.
