We were telling this story to some friends the other day. Always brings a smile to my face.
In 2006 we were staying at the GF with my inlaws and 3 yr old daughter. My daughter had a favorite blanket that she had slept with every night since she was born. Upon returning to our room we discovered that housekeeping had inadvertently wrapped "blankey" up in the bedding and whisked it off to the laundry.
We were informed that it could take several days to find it, if it in fact turned up. My daughter was devastated, and we were not very hopeful that it would ever be found.
We returned to Canada without the blanket being returned. Approximately a week after being home, a FedEx truck pulled up and handed us a package. Inside was my daughters blanket, washed and pressed, along with several Disney items, such as stickers, pens etc.
I love telling this story.
