Special Event Ticket Expiration?

Hi everyone. I had gotten special event tickets (3 day hoppers) for mini gay days next week. Unfortunately, my cat just fell ill and will require 3-4 daily meds and close monitoring for the next few weeks. So, I'm going to have to cancel my plans. I am really heartbroken right now and definitely don't want to leave him in someone else's care if he takes a turn for the worse.

I know the e-tickets I got have an expiration date for the end of this month, but do they still hold their cash value if I can go in the near future? Has anyone had experience in this? Thanks in advance.

As long as your tickets have an actual cash value (i.e. they are not free, comp tickets), then they will retain that value even after they expire. So if you cannot make it to the parks before the expiration date at the end of this month, you would take the tickets to the booth when you are able to visit and apply their value toward new hoppers. Don't worry: your tickets will not lose their value. You will only pay the difference between the old hoppers and the new ones. Hope your cat gets better quickly!

In case others are ever in the same boat, I actually called Disney to confirm, and The CM said the same exact thing. At least I won't lose what I paid for the tickets.
