We stayed in the Beach Club Villas 5th floor studio #544 this past week with a view of Spaceship Earth from our room- around 10:30-11:00 pm on both Tuesday and Thursday (possibly Wednesday but we were at EMH at MK until after midnight)
there was a fireworks display. First I noticed that a laser light display was on Spaceship Earth spelling out Soaring, winged items flew across, etc. Soon I could hear music that sounded similiar to Illuminations but the word Soaring was heard plus the subsequent firework display took place over Future World- it was pretty dramatic and extremely loud ending both nights I saw it. I have no idea if it was just for media or a practice run for future show or what, just tickled I happended to see it (kept our drapes open the whole time- what a thrill to go to sleep with a lit up Spaceship Earth right there!
