Special diets dining

Hi, I am new here. Dh and I are taking our daughter to WDW next year for her birthday, I was recently diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia. I am on a special Organic diet. Is there anyplace in WDW where I will be able to eat with my family? I do not mind eating in my room before I go, but I would like to have dinner with my husband and daughter at one point. I realize I am going to be missing out on alot of great food. But we have already been there 3 times and I did get to try everything then!

I don't think any of the WDW restaurants offer a true Organic menu.

Maybe the vegetarian entrees at Jiko, AP, and CG might be able to coem up with something that will work if you call a few days ahead and talk to the chef, I think you'll have a pretty much impossible time at any counter service places--even the fruit stand fruit is not labelled as organic.

Fresh at the Dolphin might be somewhat helpful for breakfast and lunch.

If you mean truly organic food, no hormones, no insecticides, co preservatives, I think you're going to ahve a next to impossible time at WDW. Maybe someone can suggest an off-property organic restaurant you could have a meal or two at during your visit.

Keep in mind that at character meals you'll be charged $5-10 entertainment fee, even if you do'nt eat.

Also, you don't say where you are staying but unless it's a home-away-from-home resort (DVC or Ft. Wilderness) cooking is not allowed in your room, so plan appropriately.

My dd is on a gluten free (most grains) and casein free diet (no milk proteins). When I make my ps, I always mention my dd's dietary needs. They will usually have the chef call me and discuss what she can eat. I am amazed at how accomodating they are. They have made her everything from from wheat free cupcakes to pancakes and brownies and the list goes on and on. It never hurts to ask. They may be able to guide you.
