Special Diet Question? UPDATE: Got my info!!

Hi. A member of our party that will be traveling with us on our trip, has had gastro bypass surgery. We have a priority seating for Boma for dinner when we arrive. Does anyone know if they have any special deals for people like this. I will feel bad if she has to pay 25.00 for 3 ounces of food. Any help will be greatly appreciated!!

Sure I will share!! Disney Dining says there is no guarantee on a smaller portion or price reduction, but they are willing to work with any quest. The CM that helped me noted on my Priority Seatings that my friend in my party has special dietary needs. She also recommended bringing a letter from her doctor incase we run into any trouble. My friend said her doctor will have no problem getting her a letter. The CM said that should be enough and that she would probably be allowed to get her food at half price or a child's price which was ok with my friend. I really don't feel like I was trying to single out my friend. I was taking everyone's feelings into consideration and thought that a simple phone call and a question wouldn't hurt. It worked out in the end to be great. She was very appreciative to think of her and HER needs and to save her some bucks at Disney!! Anyway, I am sure they will have no problem helping us! Hope this helps!!

Glad you got the info you needed. Disney does a bang up job when working with people with special dietary needs. I know it is the only place that I feel comfortable dining at with all my food allergies.
