Special Birthday Dessert without ordering a cake?

Hey everyone!

I'll be heading to WDW soon to celebrate my mom's birthday and we are bringing along my niece and nephew (ages 6 and 4). I really wanted to order a cake but believe it or not my DN and DN do NOT like cake. At all. Not even the frosting. So it just seems like a waste. But is there anything else dessert-wise you can order at a restaurant instead besides the regular stuff on the menu?

We are staying at POR and the only sit downs we have planned are Garden Grill (the main birthday dinner) and Sci Fi for lunch.

Thanks! :cutie:

You can get a Cinderella's Slipper Dessert or perhaps some sort of sundae/ice cream if you tell the restaurant podium you don't like cake.

Unfortunately, the slipper dessert is only available at GF and CRT and 'maybe' the other monorail resorts.

Some restaurants have some neat desserts that they can 'dress up' for a birthday celebration.

For example, PSB has a birthday cookie. CRT used to have a birthday cupcake. I have no clue if Garden Grill has a special dessert. :confused3 Sci-fi has a sundae. Maybe they could just put a candle in one of their menu desserts.

Good luck.

At Liberty Tree Tavern, they surprised me by plunking a candle right in the middle of the apple cobbler.
