I know that Epcot offers special activities like the masks and the passports that kids can get stamped at different countries, and the MK is, well, the MK, but do either MGM, or AK offer any such special activities for the kids besides the normal attractions?

AK has something similar to Kidcots. You get a safari activity book and then you stop at different stations throughout the park to get it stamped. At the stations the kids learn different animal facts from the CM's. It's more interactive than at Epcot. The CM's talk and ask the kids questions. My DD loved this. I believe she got something for completing the whole thing, but I can't remember what it was. Maybe a certificate? some of the stations are a little hard to find, but they are all listed on the map. You pretty much have to cover the whole park to get them all, but it was fun for her. :thumbsup2

Welcome to the Boards!!!

AK has a booklet that the kids can get stamped when they complete a certain activity. For ex. in Camp Minnie and Mickey, as you walk on the hill on the right hand side, there is a big tree branch with 3 holes. You put your hand in and tell the CM what you think it feels like. They will answer questions for you and give the kids a booklet to be used throughout the park. My kids did this a couple of years ago and enjoyed it. This year this did just the one in Camp Mickey/Minnie.

As for MGM and MK as well as the other parks you can do a Hidden Mickey hunt or scavanger hunt. The parks sell book related to this. We have done that in the past and it's a lot of fun to try and find all the Hidden Mickey's.

Hope this helps you out.

Wow, thanks for the great heads up on these activities - Especially the AK. We've only been to AK once before a couple of years ago, and that was during Spring Break week. As you can imagine we didn't get a chance to do or see a whole lot on that trip.
This time we are going the first full week of Dec. (2007), and hope to be able to do and see as much as possible. I look forward to tracking down all the stops at AK to fill our kids books.
Only 15 months to go
