Tracy...you'll be in our thoughts between noon and one (our time - since we are 1 hour ahead of you)....too funny about Buddy orange beard!!!!

Bob....we have had so much rain lately it isn't funny (it has been raining here since yesterday morning and it is still coming down)....our sprinklers are collecting dust!!!!! Our grass is very green right now and Mom likes that she doesn't have to water her flowers.

I keep forgetting at RM.....I watched/listened to TLC's Buy Your First Home/Flip that House and some other show I don't remember while I was cleaning and organizing my scrapbook supplies :scared1: I have to learn this phrase before we go away....."I need no more scrapbook stuff...I need no more scrapbook stuff"!!!!!

In 5 weeks this will be Mom and I....:car: :drive: on our way to WDW!!!

Scott...Mom and I hope you and Lynn have a great time on the cruise...please say hi to all our Dis friends for us!!!!!

Hey everyone! As many of you know it's been a tough year for my family. I don't want to go into details because I'm too superstitious about things like this. There is a chance that tomorrow things could turn around completely for us. If it doesn't happen tomorrow, it's going to be a really tough winter, especially for my sister. So I need a lot of good positive energy tomorrow between 11 and 12 central time :goodvibes :goodvibes

By the way, Buddy is looking so much better! We went to see them on Friday. Saturday I decided to spice up his meals a bit so I put a little pizza sauce in the burger and rice mix. I didn't even have to tell him it was time to eat! He had a little orange beard after that :lmao: and Bill started to call him "Guido" since he was now a little Italian :rotfl:

Thank you!

:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

I will be sending out those good thoughts and hope you get great news tomorrow . . .

Scott...Mom and I hope you and Lynn have a great time on the cruise...please say hi to all our Dis friends for us!!!!!

Ditto for me and Ron. Have a wonderful time and can't wait to "See you in September"!

Tracy,

We'll be thinking good thoughts for your family tomorrow.

Wow, we've been busy this summer. Four weeks until school starts for us and five weeks until the cruise! :dance3:

I've been running around like the energizer bunny lately being camp director, bus driver, and all around good guy. Got in at 3am this morning after picking up one of my kids from a camp. Gonna drink lots of coffee today!:surfweb:

Looking forward to getting away.

Anyone find any cool excursions? Who's doin what...

We are just doing the personal watercraft tour on the first Castaway Cay visit. I intend to stay on the ship in Nassau and DH is organizing a bird watching tour independently. On the second visit to Castaway Cay, we intend to just laze around on the adult beach.

Put a DONE STAMP on the basement Texture, off to Lowes to return some mudd and buy paint, progress is a good thing for the mind.

No special excursions planned, I think we will just Chill, we have a license ya know.

Oh I forgot Lynn and I and a couple of others have the DL 1/2 pre-cruise marathon excursion planned, LOL.

I will try and help, what's your question?

The question is - do the parts all have to be glued securely to gether or can I just stack them and run them through?

Oh, another is - I can get a lamination cartrdige for my xyron - will that work as well as a laminater? does it work the same way as an adhesive xyron?

Will my paper trimmer cut through the lamination, or do I need to use one of the old fashioned guillotine ones?

That's it for now, until I try it. Thanks!

Today I made 50 each lions and rhinos for 50 double page spreads for "Give Kids the world". One of the other Disney Fan web sites has a scrapbook project going. I figgered with the Cricut, I could make quite a few pretty easily.

I'll be so ready for the cruise by the time it comes. You'll find me on Deck 10!

Happy Day, all!

As far as your layers. I would say it would depend on how big the pieces are. If they are small in detail, I would glue them. If they are larger and you can basically hold them together as they start feeding thru, then don't glue.

If you have tiny pieces, smaller than 1.5", have you tried that little "X" shaped sticker maker. You run it thru and then there is adhesive on the back side of your image. It works great for those tiny pieces--at least for me it does--I am kind of messy with the glue.

I have the laminating cartridge, actually have all of them, and it works pretty good. Yes, it does work the same way as the adhesive cartridge. You just drop it in, feed your item in face up and turn the handle. Yes, you can cut thru the lamination. If you are cutting out detail, you can just use scissors, if you are cutting out in a square or rectangle, a paper cutter should do the trick. Not sure what kind of paper trimmer you have, but I would think most would work.

This is funny, I sound like an expert and I have only had my Xyron for a couple of weeks. :rotfl: But I have used all the cartridges. If you go to buy any of the other cartridges, I am sure you know to be sure and use a coupon if you can, they aren't cheap.

Thank you, m'am! You DO sound like an expert and I will take your advice. Believe me, I know about coupons - i've never paid full price for a tool yet. lol the queen of ch- er FRUGAL, that's it, FRUGAL! My layers are pretty much all the same size and rectangular shaped so that should work fine - i've *tacked* them together, just not stuck like with xyron because there were more holes than solid in some of the layers. Thank you!

Tracy, you will be in my prayers - hope you have good news tomorrow.

Tracy, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Glad to hear Buddy is looking better. He's so cute!

First time for sprinklers, that is a surprise. ....Starting to get warm here.

...

....

Actually, it was just the flowers that needed the water, but I decided to water the whole front yard since no rain is forcast until later in the week.
The grass is doing quite well this year. Nice green. We've gotten the rain at just the right time. The apple tree seems to think so too as it is loaded with apples this year.

Dusty sprinklers? Sounds like something George Carlin would come up with.:lmao:

Very good day today. Got a lot accomplished.
Main thing was a trip to the county fair for the grandkids.
Grandson did not make the finals in his 4H projects. Still did good.
Granddaughter won blue ribbons in her group (2nd grade) for her exhibits in cooking and sewing.
Her next project in sewing? She is going to make a Fish Extender for us.

I like the fairs. Healthy foods like porkburgers, elephant ears and buttery corn on the cob. Yum.

Everyone have a great week.

Scott and Lynn and Ken and Shari, we envy you. Sigh. Wish we could go.

And Georgie, do you remember this....

I know where we were. Where were you and Joe?

Laura...eeyorelvr10...just text me from the Magic and said it has no power and has been stopped for over an hour. They smell fuel and she just got phone service. Anyone know what might have happened? She is concerned. They are up on deck 4 right now.

She said it looks like might be engine failure. They are just drifting and alot of ship personnel walking around. I gotta get to work. Will post more from there.

lots of prayers coming your way tracy -

my inlaws put green beans in their dogs food to get them to eat - and it seems to work - don't know why - but just a thought.... also potatoes and sometimes even kidney beans -

Do keep us up to date, we are interested as we leave Sat for the Magic.

Thanks Much

Laura text me about 7:45am CST and said they were moving. Said the sun was just starting to come up. No word yet on what happened but I will let you know as soon as I hear from her.

She said that she hopes that nobody holds it against her......Laura boards and breaks the Magic!!.....That is from her mouth not mine!:lmao:

Today is also her anniversary....Great way to start the day!

Tracy, I'm thinking those good thoughts for your family now to give a half hour head start! :) Good Luck!
