Special 9/1/08 Cruise Continued

Hi All!
So glad this weather is getting warmer.
Georgie-I think I may do the 5K as well-I am trying to do something DD will do. We are going to the Disney Channel Games concert on Sat. night, so it will be a long day!

We had a big weekend here in NY-the Pope was here. My DS went to the Youth rally on saturday and I went to Yankee Stadium on sunday. It was a great event--there was some great entertainment prior to the Pope's arrival and Mass. Harry connick, Stephanie Mills, Ronan Tynan, Jose Feliciano. It was a beautiful day. It was great seeing all different people from all over.

You got to be in Yankee Stadium! The roar of the crowd was deafening when the Pope entered! I watched it on TV. You must have been so excited to attend! I loved the children's choir that did Pachabel's Cannon. They sounded like angels!

Send me a PM should you decide to do the 5K and Joe and I will look for you guys! We will be walking, thus will be starting in the last starting block... working hard on not being swept.

Elaine! I still have the scrapbooking supplies from the PC exchange from 3 years ago... STILL in their packaging! All I need is TIME!

Georgie - I am also still working on the scrapbook for the Panama Canal. I thought I would have lots of time to do that kind of stuff when I retired, but I still cannot find time! Now, the "scrapbook room" is in chaos due to the basement construction, so I am not even going to try to do anything until the construction is finished, and I can put that room in order again!

Sorry I am going to miss the Party on the 2nd at OKW , but we will be there from May 3rd through the 10th , we requested either building 44 or 45 , I think those are the two by the canal ...It will be me and DW and DS7 (DS16 has to stay home this time) plus my sister from Chicago and my nephew and then me best friend an his wife ...so yes we have a 2 bedroom ..lol cant believe ony a week and a half to go ...

Wow!

You got to be in Yankee Stadium! The roar of the crowd was deafening when the Pope entered! I watched it on TV. You must have been so excited to attend! I loved the children's choir that did Pachabel's Cannon. They sounded like angels!

It was all wonderful. It was hard to believe it was Yankee Stadium as we go there often.
everything was so organized except for the spontaneous chants and cheers. There was a whole section from Boston-upper deck by home plate. They had great spirit. I thought-wow that many Bostonians-so full of cheer in Yankee Stadium and Manny isn't even killing Mussina (w/his bat!) (A little Yankee/Red Sox reference!)

I will let you know about the 5K -we will also be walking!

So nice to see so many cruise buddies. I haven't fallen off the face of the earth, but with DS's wedding just 3 weekends away, it's been the focus event around here.

I just miss seeing you all in May. I'll be there the 15th through the 21st.

I'm happy to see that there's a World Champion Giants fan onboard. I'm sure DH will be wearing his hat/T-shirt.

Anyway, just wanted to drop in and say Hi!! Once this pesky wedding is out of the way, I can concentrate on more important things, like this cruise.

Good Morning to Everyone!

It's just beautiful here in NJ today! Our lilacs began blooming a few days back and the air is rich with their sweet fragrance

It's so beautiful... I'm taking the afternoon off! YIPPEE!

Lynn, If we lived closer, I'd go for a walk with you and your pups

Will be away this weekend. Am taking a trip to Harrisonburg Va, to been up with 2 roommates from many years ago (many, many!!!). Hope to visit Luray Caverns too.

Just booked our flights in September! Now we've got to pay off the cruise to get ready to book excursions.

We also decided to travel to the World for July 4th! It will be crowded, but FUN!!!

Don't worry about asking questions... there are plenty here who can jump in and answer!

We booked this package a while back and loved it. It made us feel so special. It was hard to pick a date because we didn't want to miss any of the on deck activities, but for us, it was worth the price.

So the registration for the 5K is closed and I missed it. Does anyone know of a "wait" list?
Not sure if I am up for the bigger one on Sunday-that is still open, plus DD cannot do that one --she is too young and I wouldn't know what to do w/her while I am in that race. She could just sleep....

I too am looking forward to a little get-away-even though the weather has been absolutely fabulous this week.

I don't know if it would work but you might be able to go to DWWS for the Race Expo, and see if there is a chance of gettin in on the 5K. ya never know.
