Yes, the rumor is true. I booked this cruise over a month (or more) ago. I even posted the photo in my sign. line for a while- yet, no one- except TRACY noticed. It has been listed on my sign. line since- and I've heard rumors that Peter was checking my sig line and didn't see it.


Robb didn't want to do this cruise initially. I told him we could dive in the Bahammas- and he got sick of my complaining about how sad I was that I wasn't going to see everyone one on the 11 night cruise in May. (We have considered bringing a full tank on the boat or a large pony bottle and dive at CC.) So, he told me to go ahead and book it.

HURRAY! It's very funny, this evening before T posted about you, I was looking at your signature. I thought it was cool about all of the marathons, saw you were on the 5-night and figured I just hadn't been paying enough attention!

So who are you traveling with this time?

Actually, if i book, i can't get my deposit back, b/c it's a suite. The paperwork and the reservation CM said that b/c it's a suite - the deposit is a NON refundable $400 PER PERSON.. Which is $800, for me and dd. That's alot of money to just lose if i can't go..
I kinda think that policy (if it's true) is stupid. I can see where they are coming from in a way, as there are limited number of suites available.. but my inlaws are booked for the suite anyway.. we are just adding on. So, even if we book (dd and myself) and wanted to cancel and transfer our deposit $ to my inlaws acct. - they won't do it..
So, I just need to firm up a decision before i give up my $800..

Wow.. i am glad to see so many girls (between 6 and 8 ) on this cruise! IF we decide to go, DD will be 7 - (turning 8 in january) and she would be so excited to meet others her age (she will be in 2nd grade). And she is very outgoing, and makes friends easily... so i know if they were in the clubs together, she would have a blast!! hmmmm... this is just persuading me more! LOL

This past weekend was exhausting, but well worth it. We finished the patio on Saturday and put the trees in on Sunday. Also on Sunday, I made my millionth trip to Home Depot and got some accent trees and flowers. DH put together the hammock stand. So, he was able to finally relax in it on Sunday evening. It was a nice end to a long weekend. The Adirondack chairs, foot rests and table, we ordered from Costco, were delivered yesterday. So of course, DH put those together (he works from home on Mondays). They look great on the patio. DH ordered the rocks (instead of mulch) for the garden, they will be delivered on Friday. I know what we will be doing on Saturday. So, the work goes on. . .

What did your kids do while all this was going on - I know that our would have been driving us crazy.

It sounds like a fabulous place to relax and grill a steak.

There are potential problems with doing this. First, if the capacity of the ship gets filled enough, there won't be room in the suite for more people. (the ship limits the number of people in the rooms based on beds, overall space available and lifeboat space. In other words, a room that sleeps 4 might not be available to four people close to the sailing date because of overall capacity on the ship.). Second, if the prices go up it will cost more. The only ones whose prices are locked in are the ones who have a deposit paid.

I checked the weather channel and they are forecasting a storm for Western New York for Wednesday and Thursday - we are in Rochester - it is snowing here tonight and we were wondering if we would be driving into a storm down your way.
