Speaking of DS Sales....

My favorite cm at my local store told me to call on Monday (5/24) about when the semi-annual clearance sale would start. She says they usually start them on a Wed, but she's thinking that Monday might be the day this year. She said it will be HUGE.

I remember shopping this last year, and having one heckuva time.

By the way, if you do happend to purchase something at a higher price and it goes on sale, you can get a refund as long as the sale is no more than 7 days after your purchase date.

They have a pretty decent sale now for a bunch of stuff, so I can't imagine what they would have left to do a big clearance on, unless they will be taking old stuff out of storage. Maybe they will be marking down the summer stuff. Hope they do, even though I already bought my fill of bathing suits, towels, and cover ups. I'll be watching these boards Mon, though!

Yeah, not only can I not shop for my OWN kids at these sales, but now I'm on the lookout for any of my FRIEND'S kids that have a trip planned as well...

I am pathetic.

I cannot resist the 75% off deals; I do not even try. I miss the days of the Disney Club card extra 10% off too....waaah. 85% off was EVEN BETTER .

I love to match my girls in matching tops from TDS every day of our trip (minor indulgence here) and it is much more palatable to do so at $3 to $4 a pop...ha.

I'll report back as to what I find out. Fortunately, our store has not suffered. As a matter of fact, it just got a "facelift" and is going strong....

I went today and asked CM about the clearance sale. She said there would be more on sale Monday but they've already started marking some things down to clearance - like the $9.99 beachtowel and then you get the beach chair for free. I was able to get girls shorts (50% off) 2 pair girls sandals (50% off) 1 boys Stitch shirt (50%) and girls and boys' underwear 3 pr. for $7.99. I also needed disney dollars and bought three of the little fans that you wear around your neck with the light (they were $5.00 each). I'm hoping the bathing suits go even lower than $12.99 and there are some more 50 and 75% off things. I'll be back Monday.

I was there today (Sunday) and got the beach towels with ball and free beach chair for $9.99. I got 3 toddler outfits for $10 and boys sandals for $7.99. I thought I had done pretty well but on my way out a CM stopped me and said that I should come back tomorrow with my receipt. When I pressed her for details she clammed up and said she couldn't say anymore. I'm going to call in the morning b/c I'm about 25 miles from the store and I wonder if the cost of gas at $2.35/gallon would be worth going back!! Although the sandals were kind of on the smallish side and the larger size would get us through to September....

I was also shopping @ the DS today (Sunday) and bought several outfits that were 50% off. I am hoping to return with my receipt to find they have been marked down to 75% off!

Towels are 7.99, and kids toys (don't know the %). Apparently, more stuff is marked down, but nothing to 75%. I think the t shirts and infant wear is at 50%, as it has been. Shorts and tanks 5.99 (I think they were 7.99), and summer toys 9.99. Could somebody post what they find if they are going today? I was going to go, but once I heard the summer stuff is not marked down more, I decided to wait (maybe till Wed).

I just came back from the mall and stopped in to the Disney Store to check out the deals. I didn't think they were that great. Nothing was 75% off, but lots of 50% off. The beach towels were 7.99, chairs 4.99, lots of t's for 5.99, lots of outfits and plush for 50%, mugs were 25%, some cd's at 50%, some mickey toppers at 50%. I'm a 75% off gal, so I'll keep watching!

Preb, Do you know what kind of Plush they had on sale. I'm looking for a regular Micky and Minne mouse. I can't just drop in to our not so local store. I'm about an hour away, but if they have the regular plush on sale, then I'd go,

Last time I was there they had Home on the Range plush for 50% off, I don't won't that kind.

Was there when they opened at 10:00 am this morning (Monday)...very disappointed! Virtually nothing had changed from over the weekend...NOTHING was 75% off, as posted earlier.

I guess they are psyching people up for this, but in my opinion, it was a major bummer.

I guess I will try back late this week...and keep checking with them...I was pumped up for big savings, and it just didn't transpire (although I WAS wondering why they'd put all the summer stuff at big discounts this early in the year .... )

Well..... I was tempted to run out this morning, but with gas at over $2/gallon and it being over an hour round trip, I decided I could live without going. Guess I didn't miss much!...........P

Nothing new at my DS. She greets me at the door to welcome me to the great sale....then nothing different. The sand chairs are $4.99 and towels are now $7.99. Tees are $5.99 and older ones they had weeks ago are still $4.99. Plush 40-50%, saw nothing for 75% off. Talk about wasting gas!
