Trip coming up in two weeks! Need to start planning for what food to take. We do have ADRs but will be doing breakfast at the camper and packing snacks for the parks. Suggestions of easy stuff?

Before we leave home for camping trips, I'll crack a couple eggs, a splash of milk, then whatever "fillings" we each feel like into a quart sized ziplock bag. mash it all around good, then all it takes is dumping into a fry pan in the morning for a quick protein packed breakfast. :)

Cool! How long will eggs last like that?

One of our quick staples is waffle sandwiches, peanut butter and jelly with banana between a couple eggos.

There are lots of good slow cooker breakfast recipes out there. Throw it together the night before. If it calls for cooked sausage or bacon, I do that before we leave home. We do a lot of crock pot cooking when we camp. :goodvibes

We also eat light...cereal or yogurt and fruit on days we have a big lunch scheduled.

I like these Jimmy Dean breakfast bowls when were at the fort for a quick breakfast. That and an English muffin only takes a couple minutes in the microwave.

Here's a few suggestions:

Breakfast burritos, breakfast casserole (hash browns, eggs, cheese, sausage/ham/or bacon or no meat - leftover can be reheated the next morning), cereal, oatmeal, english muffin sandwiches, pancakes.

Park snacks: fruit, lunch meat wraps, cheese, dill pickles, animal crackers

Sorry..don't typically get online over the weekend. Honestly, I'm not sure. We're typically "weekend warriors" so when we do that, the latest they are used is two mornings later. I've seen where people freeze the pouches, though haven't tried that. If there is an issue with them lasting, wonder if egg beaters would last longer?

And another idea..while not something we've done camping, but at home and could easily translate over to camping. Breakfast sandwiches (english muffins, ham slice, egg that was baked in a ramekin, and slice of cheese). Toast up the muffins, and bake the eggs, then assemble, wrap in foil and freeze. Easy peasy heat-up in a micro, but I think you could do it over a grill too leaving in the foil to get good and toasty if you're tenting it. Just take out the night before and put into a fridge so it thaws somewhat. Same type of idea with breakfast burritos..scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, sausage, cheese, salsa, rolled into a tortilla then into foil.

Hmm..now that I mention those, adding to my list for camping "on the go" breakfasts this summer! :cool1:

We head to the cabins in a few weeks and we're bringing things like cereal, pop tarts, frozen pancakes, waffles, egg beaters, muffins, Danish; beverages; boxed juices , milk ; and for snacks: individual packages of peanuts, pistachios, cookies, pretzels. Also bringing frozen , microwaveable,French fries for one grandkid who eats them all the time.
