I've read people saying the SPD promo comes pretty close to being rack room rate, kids dining plan pricing and kids ticket pricing. Would this theory also work if using the Deluxe dining plan?
From what I've read, upgrading dining plans means paying the adult upgrade charge in addition to the child base price for the original dining plan. But I've only heard of doing this when upgrading from QS to regular dining. It sounds confusing but basically:

I would double check once the discounts come out or ask your travel agent just in case, because if adults can pay child price for the deluxe plan it would be an insane bargain! (Which is why I'm sure Disney would never allow it =P)

The SPD Deal is not actually Adults pay children's prices. It's just a simplified way of figuring out approximately what you'll pay on the deal.
The actual SPD dine deal is a percentage discount that we believe applies to your room and dining plan. Any upgrades to the dining plan that is included will be at the full price of the upgrade.
