We had a great time on July 17th - CMs were great!!! They especially liked our Pal Mickey dressed in his 50th Tee and Ears from Build A Bear (yes, he wore the ears, lol). He had his picture taken all over the park...and then, at the end of the night, he disappeared. My husband was taking pictures of our Pal in the Enchanted Tiki Garden while we were waiting for the next show. Since it was after 11pm we opted to take the train instead. We went by the lockers to get our things, then headed to the train station. It was time for Pal Mickey to get his picture taken with the CM... where is he? What do you mean you don't have him??? My husband had left Pal Mickey in the lap of a Tiki god... :scared1: We raced back to the Tiki god - no Pal Mickey. My husband talked to all of the CMs at the attraction to no avail. He waited until the show let out, no Pal Mickey. I went to City Hall and they had me file a Missing Persons Report at the Lost and Found. We have called everyday, but he has not shown up.

So, please, if you have any Pixie Dust to spare, can you give some to our Pal Mickey? He is helpless and lost, and we hope he makes it home soon. :sad1:

:worried:  We'll be down there next week so I'll keep my eyes open! (If you hear newsreports of a strange woman ripping stuffed Mickeys out of young children's arms, you'll know I probably went too far!!:rotfl2: )
I'm also sending   to you and your DH for your loss.

I appreciate the kind words. My husband is really upset about it and gets choked up when he looks at all of his Pal Mickey pics. He will personally come to bail you out if Disney security "misunderstands" your assistance in our search, lol. Actually, they probably remember him as the frantic geeky guy they were helping at closing time (yes, they were looking too). Just don't want to give up hope.

Hopefully the heat won't slow you guys down next week - it gets brutal midafternoon. We were just going to go on Splash when it was really hot, but it went down (I know I am jinxed!!!)...

Have a great trip!!!

Have you tried calling Lost & Found? I have thier number somwhere, I will see if I can find it when I get home. But they are always really helpfull at getting stuff returned to thier owners.

What a shame to lose him, especially after the fun of taking his pic everywhere. I hope someone returns him to you.

Yes - we have been calling everyday. They have our "missing persons" report, and when I filed it I had my digicam so they saw the pics of him and felt really bad. :( When my husband misplaced his wallet at DL a couple of years ago (I am starting to see a pattern here...) Lost & Found had it within the hour and nothing was missing, which is why I am concerned that no one has turned in Mickey.

At least he had a full tummy when he got lost...

Thanks for the good thoughts. :)

Well, he didn't eat the whole corn dog - he did share it with my husband. And, yes, it always cracks me up when people order "bad" food with a diet coke - and I usually do, too. ;)

I am so sorry for your loss :sad1: As a card carrying member of Pal Mickey's grown-up Pal Club I totally understand. Pixie Dust to you in hopes of his safe return. It's a shame he 'ran' away from the tiki god perhaps a young child thought he was homeless and adopted him. Unfortunately many in DL do not understand Pal Mickey and his interaction as a tour guide at WDW. I do hope that secuirty is able to locate Pal soon and see that he gets home to his mommy and daddy. At least you have pictures (both of which I loved- especially the food ones!) and fond memories that you can share with PM2 and show him his older brother who ran away from the tiki god at DL. The lanyard the PM2 comes with should help to keep him from running, that is if you decide to adopt another PM.

They were very nice at lost and found again, but he is still not there. We looked around the Tiki gods to see if they hid him, but nope. As you can see, he likes to hide in bushes, so we will keep hoping it's just another game of hide and go seek...
