Spaceship Earth????

I just read on one of the threads that Spaceship Earth is closing... Is this true??? If so, when is it supposed to close?? I may need to make an emergency trip to Disney just so I can ride it one last time!!!!

Someone, please, tell me it ain't so!! I had read some threads quite awhile back that hinted that it may be "redone" so that it resembled more of a thrill-type ride.

But I was under the impression that this was still quite some time away.

The rumor was Time Chasers or racers or something like that. I have no clue if its true or not but in my opinion i dont think that it will be turned into this rumored roller coaster thrill ride thing. It would be like turning the Castle into the tower of terror.

No official plans have been announced. Spaceship Earth is still Spaceship Earth for the forseeable future.

I read that it would change, also, but the work would not begin until 2005. Let's hope this idea goes by the wayside!

I made the mistake of letting my kids know before our last trip in February , and they made me ride it five times on a row, not that I really minded because I like the ride, but they also made me videotape the entire ride for when it's gone, I must say I really like watching that!

It could use an update though, you have to admit that much... b/c future earth is kinda present day earth, wouldn't you think?
