Spaceship earth ride closure someone jumped off the ride

Today at Epcot it was closed for a long time. Cm said someone got off during mid ride and probably trying to take a selfie. Tt was closed for 30 minutes during emh and the lights went out uring Soarin around 910 am

Yep, there are plenty of moronic guests roaming WDW. Most closures are due to such behaviors.

Happens all.the.time!
I was stuck on HM one time, couple years ago.
It wasn't due to stupid guest tricks but got to witness a stupid guest trick during the outage.
We were right there just before you go down the hall with the doors banging, where the wind blows and they say something about "hot and cold running chills"
There was a young couple in the doombuggy in front of us and after we'd sat there for oh, 20 min or so, she jumped out and did a hand stand in front of that fake hall where the chill blows and her companion took her photo.
I don't actually know if the staff noticed her or not. They may have been so wrapped up in what was actually causing the outage and preparing to evacuating us from the ride they missed it. No announcement was made, no one came by to say anything to her then and when they did come to get us, no one said anything while I was in ear shot.
I guess she ended up with a cool pic

Some people just have no common sense or regard to others. I'll admit my dream day would be to go through both SSE and HM and see all the props close up and just wander through the rooms but silly me, I'd never jump off the ride to get a picture.

Last time I was on FoP, the ride kept getting delayed with an announcement telling people to remain seated. I'm not sure how anyone was getting out of their restraints to begin with, so I can only imagine what was happening was pretty ridiculous, esp. since they had to make the announcement more than once.

HM (and quite possibly other rides too), have pressure mats in front of the tracks, so that in the case that someone does jump out, it'll automatically stop the ride. I'm pretty sure the CM's wouldn't say anything within earshot of other guests though. I wouldn't be surprised if she got kicked out of the park for doing that.

A long time ago when I worked at Tower of Terror, a kid wanted to have extra airtime, so he buckled his seatbelt and hid the extra "slack" from the CM checking. When they got to the drop shaft, I had to Lift Stop while it was moving, causing the ride to go down, cause the kid was like flying. They had to re-ride the entire elevator, except for that kid. He sat with our manager lol
