Sorry -- I'm still a newbie... do these really work/are they worth it?
And where do you get them? THANKS!

They work however they can and most likely will leave your clothes extremely wrinkled. If you do decide to try them make sure they are the ones that do not require a vacuum to suck out the air, or you could end up with no way to shrink it for your return home. Good Luck

We LOVE ours and use them all the time! Ours are actually the ones that "should" require a vacuum but we just leave a corner of the zipper open, roll really tight and while rolled we seal the corner! We get almost as good of a result doing that than we do using a vacuum! We haven't had much problem with the clothes being wrinkled but have used a wrinkle releaser to help!

We wouldn't travel without ours...it just saves so much room to buy alcohol or souveniers!

Ours don't require a vacuum and are great. For our DCL trip, I had 4 jackets in one (fleece type) and that saved a ton of space; in the other, smaller one, I had some dress shirts. I packed them the night before we left and unpacked them 2 days later when we got on board and didn't need to iron a thing.

We use ziplocks and/or spacesaver bags whenever we travel, the one downside is that you pack it all in so nice and airtight you need to be sure you can get it all home w/o the airtight bags. It's hard to get all the air out of your dirty clothes bag!

We have conquered this by always taking a piece of luggage within another piece of luggage. This leaves room for souveniers and dirty clothes.

Have a great cruise!

We use them, but also found that the 2 1/2 gallon ziplocks work just as well.

For the kids I packed a days worth of clothes in the gallon zip locks, and squeezed the air out, sealed them, and then each day all they had to do was grab a bag. There clothes weren't wrinkled even after several days like that.

One word of warning though. The clothes still weigh the same even if they take up less space, so if your suitcase is big like mine, I couldn't fill it up with clothes all packaged that way or it would have weighed too much for the airport.

We use the 2 1/2 gallon ziplocs and they work great! They are also much less expensive than the space saver bags. Just roll them up to get the air out and you are good to go!!

QVC has them as a TODAYS Special Value 1-800-345-1515. A GREAT deal! Hope this helps you out!

But I think those are the ones that require a vacuum.

I have purchased these bags in the past and they were great. I'm not sure if this kind need a vaccuum or not. You can check out the website qvc.com and read about them. Hope this helps.:p

Even if it says you NEED a vacuum you dont! We have those that require a vacuum but we use them without. Just put your stuff in it, seal it up except for a small corner in the bag and ROLL ROLL ROLL the air out. WHen you get all the air rolled out and the bag in a "log roll" type thing THEN seal up the side and unroll..it works JUST AS GOOD as the vacuum and you can still use them!
