So whats it like? I've never been on any roller coasters before, but whatrs SPace Mountain like? How fast isit? Are there any loops are sharp turns or anythiong? Is it really dark? Will I puke? :earseek:

there are no loops but there are a couple of sharp turns. and it is dark (darkenough where you cant really see where your going) and it is pretty jerky.

its dark and u can see a little. it was my first time last year and there are a few sharp turns and a couple of drops that will scare u a littlee. And dont wear anything around your neck. my dad once wore a brand new video camera and at one drop it came off his neck. by some luck he caught it. well sry if the story bored u but out of all it was fantastic.::yes::

youy will want to go on over and over:hyper:

I just got back fron WDW, and Space Mt. is my favorite ride!
no loops, some sharp turns, but it's really fun!
I sat in the last rocket, last seat. and there are glown~in~the~dark stripes along the side of each rocket! so if you sit in the back rocket, you can see when you are going to turn. :teeth:

I went on the one in orlando Flordia.

Are you going anytime soon?

We are going to the parks after our cruise on the 26th. Not sure if I'm gnna go on it or not. About how fast does it go compared to other rides?

the speed is 27 mph, no inversions, duration is 2:37. not very long and a lot of fun :hyper: !

If I were you and wanted to see what I was about to do about 5 seconds before hand I would request to ride in the front seat, front rocket. I love to sit in the very back because you can't see when you are going to drop (plus more air time!), but that's just me.

There are some sudden drops in Space Mt. that are, to me, the best part. Like I said above, you get more air time the farther you sit back, but you can see when you'll drop if you sit in the front.

space mountain is the best!!!!!!! lol

there are 2 tracks i can't remember which is which but i think the one on the left is the better one. i love sitting in the back and the one time i sat in the front i got a little bit of motion sickness so if you get that i wouldn't sit in the front. after a couple times on you'll memorize the track. i do remember that near the end you go through this part with lights and you think its the end but there's one more drop. it can jerk you around sometimes but not bad. also there's no loops just hills, drops, and turns. i'd advise getting a fast-pass cuz i waited for an hour in line once. have fun!:D

The left is definately the best, to my family at least. I also second the recommendation of getting a fast pass. Even during Extra Magic hour the line can be 30 minutes long.

If you've never been on any roller coasters before, I'd recommend that you go on Thunder Mountain first, so atleast you can see where you're going! Then, if you like that, try Space Mountain. I really enjoy both, and they're not scary at all. And they're lots of fun to scream on! :teeth:

I wouldn't worry about it- Space Mountain is pretty tame as compared to other roller coasters. I'd give it a try, and if you don't like it, then atleast you have the satisfaction of trying it! :D
