I promise I'm not asking if your hands get chopped off when you raise them during the ride :rolleyes1

My husband is on the tall side, about 6'2", so not out of the norm for a grown man. Last trip on space mountain the ride advanced from the loading area to the safety bar check before he was fully seated (he was still trying to shove his legs in the sides). Obviously this freaked him out, he thought the ride was fully starting, but he was able to get all the way in his seat at the safety check. He would not go on again though, which was sad because it's my favorite but I don't blame him.

Has this ever happened to anyone else? And is there a best seat for tall people?

The front seat has the least leg room.

They do load super fast, they don't mess around! And yes, pick the 2nd and 3rd row. It looks like there is less room but there is actually a lot of leg room on the sides of the seats once you sit down.

I'm 6'4 and as long as I don't sit in the front seat, I'm good. But, no I've never had a problem.

I'm only 5'10" but mostly leg. I have to sit in a modified "indian" style. Knees out, feet together. It's uncomfortable and hard to get out of the ride from, but also completely doable. I'll only ride it once or twice though because of this.

6'3" here and most definitely agree, best bet is to sit in the back....the front is almost impossible to fit in and because of the jerky nature of the ride, it can be really uncomfortable. On many rides, the cast members will gladly sit you where you want as long as you ask when you get the classic question "how many?" We've done this on Splash Mtn, BTMR, POTC, 7WMT, SM, and many others and never have an issue. The CM will just ask you to stand to the side until that seat becomes available.

Heh. I'm five foot nothing but when I go on Space Mountain, I have to make sure everything I have with me is fastened down and I am in my seat nice and comfortable before I get the safety restraints in place. The vehicle is not going to take off if your husband is still trying to get comfortable. If people can transfer from a wheelchair to the vehicle. they are given time. I'll bet if your husband just relaxes, it will go a lot better next time.

I am 6'3". It always has been hard to fold my legs into the seats at Space Mountain. Now that I am 50 years old the ride seems to shake me up more too.

My husband is 6'8". He rides in the very back because that has the most leg room. He hasn't had any problems getting situated when he has sat in the back.

And if he gets stuck in the front, he can always just hang his feet over the front of the car!!!!

Yes it happens a lot. However the ride will never go past the safety check until everyone is seated with the seat belt fastened
