Space Mountain Exit question....

I have one son who doesnt want to ride space mountain. Where does the rides exit end at? I know the one in FL ends in an arcade but I cant remember the one in CA.

It exits next to the Arcade behind the Star Trader, right at ground level. If you know where the entrance is for the new Space Mtn, it is to the right of that entrance but to the left of the Star Trader. In between the SM entrance and exit is Honey I Shrunk the Audience.

When my kids were younger and didn't want to ride on Space Mountain, I would just have them stand in line with me, and when we would board the cars they would just cross to the other side and wait for me there. You might want to consider doing that with your son.

I love this plan but I have run into some problems trying do this. A couple of times the CM as told the boys they cant wait there and when I get off the ride their gone! So now on the rare occasion that one or both wont ride I usually put them at the exit before I go on and ride and then meet them right back there.

So the ride does not exit into the arcade or store right, just into the open? I guess I can take him to the arcade to wait and then meet him there.

Space Mountain exits into an enclosed area where there are plants so you can sit on the planters, and restrooms. Just beyond that is the arcade.

Indiana Jones exits next to the Jungle Cruise river, and you walk along it. There are also a couple of areas where you can sit & wait.

there is a spot where Space Mountain exits where they can sit there is also an arcade not too far away from the exit.

You could do a parent child swap if there is another person in the party. That might help. Also when you are doing Space and Indy I would suggest doing fastpasses for those rides since the lines tend to be longer in the regular lines Also I would just tell them that they would like the ride and they should try it. My mom did that to me and my sister everytime we did not want to go on Indy and we ended up loving it and wanting to get right back on.. I hope that they would go on it because they do not know what they are missing. Unless they are to short or are so scared that they will pee there pants. Have a great time

The area is enclosed where the exit is. They have benches in the area too. That's where I hung out waiting for my DH and DS. One time I even hung out around the picture monitors, where you see the pictures of people on the ride. Which is a like a big room in the exit area.

Yes. You would just step thru the ship. But be sure to tell the CM loading people what you are doing so he/she can place people properly.

I have found that it depends on the ride or maybe the CM. The boys have not been allowed to do this on Thunder Mountain or the Dinasour ride at Animal Kingdom. They could wait in line with me but had to exit and couldnt just wait at the top of the exit. Its for these reasons I dont risk it and just have them wait at a specific spot.
