Space Heater for Basement - Recommendations?

I purchased a ceramic oscillating space heater from Costco (by Bionaire - Holmes) and within 5 minutes it didn't work. I will be returning it and will buy a different brand as I'm not sure I trust this one anymore.

Any recommendations on space heaters? It's a smaller rec type room about 20 X 12. Thanks for any advice

My son-in-law installed a wall-mounted electric heater up to my place at the lake and it's fantastic! Way better than any portable space heater I've ever had.. It's forced fan, so it really circulates the air around and throws out a ton of heat.. I think it was about $120.. I've easily spent 5 times that amount over the years on inefficient portable space heaters.. It's also thermostat controlled (right on the unit).. You turn it on, wait for the room to get the temp you want and then turn it down to where it will shut off.. After that it will go on and off by itself to maintain the temp you want..

My place at the lake has NO insulation and before I came home this year the temps were dropping into the 20's and 30's, but that heater kept the whole place nice and warm..

I saw a fan type heater at Costco a couple of weeks ago, went close to it to see how well it worked, it was nice and toasty. I just looked it up on Costco website Presto heat dish $56.99. It did not appear to make any noise when I was near it, but I was not paying that close attention.

there was another thread a few days ago about a ceiling fan with a heater in it. Maybe that would do? I don't remember the brand, only that they were pricey, like $350. They were getting great reviews on-line.
