So I have decided to do the Space Coast in Cocoa FL because its on my birthday Nov 27 - and I have ALWAYS thought that would be the coolest thing to run a race on my birthday. So I have having a hard time deciding whether I should do the half or should I do the full.
I have put together a list of personal pros and cons for both races. 1st I hear the full can be quite lonely since there aren't very many people (I think there were about 850 finishers last year) and not very much crowd support after the half marathoner turn off. But I have always been one to want to do the biggest and the best why not
(like on my honeymoon when I went parasailing I couldn't settle for 600 or 800 feet I had to do the highest 1000)
I have decided to do Goofy again in 2012 so it would be a good time in training for a half marathon but then again I could train up early for the full and try and get a PR
since I was close to getting a PR this year at Disney. Only missed it by 2 minutes so possibly I could PR considering there would be less distractions than at Disney. So after writing this out I am thinking I am strongly leaning toward the full but I am still undecided.
Has anyone here done the full at Space Coast or have any insight on the full? I would love to hear other's opinons.
